Suggestions / Re: Suggestions that would work for my Poker Room
« on: March 26, 2007, 11:52:21 AM »
The only thing that stops this clock being implemented in casino's in the UK is the absence of reciepts and duplicat reciepts, so it doesn't conform with uk gaming board.

There is a system that does this, and it costs a fortune BTW but it does involve bluetooth scanners and barcodes for each player to auto update rebuys and add-ons etc!!! But TD is far better IMO and the customer service Corey provides is second to none.

If you don't want the burn, be sure not to lock the screen and set the player ranking to scroll, alternate the screens every 30 seconds. Burn usuaslly only happens with a static screen. You can also set the Odds and even rounds to different text sizes for added protection. Don't use strong contrasting colours i.e. Black Background with white text, try a lighter background with darker text.

One further note on this, after the flop, if a player goes all-in, but can't make a full bet, i.e. the size of the big blind, the next player only has to match his all-in bet, not the big blind/full size bet.

Not where I play?

If the BB or the minimum betting unit is 100 for example, a 50 % rule comes into force. If the player going all-in has only 25 points then everyone must call 25 and anyone can raise as long as they haven't already acted. If the all-in player bets 75, then everyone must call 100 creating a side pot and re opening the betting for any previous action. Depends which rules you play, i suppose?

The original Big Blind (10,000) is what all players must call to remain in the pot, making a side pot of 2500 x amount of players. Hope that helps,

Help Me / Re: Multi-Tiered Buy-ins

This is something I would also find useful, as I run a weekly split level entry, they get the same amount amount of chips so thats fine, but I have a £50 entry and a £100 entry for the same comp. If you have paid the £100 then you are "in" for all the loot, however if you only pay £50 to enter, you can only win £50 of each player. Making it really 2 comps in one. The last man standing for £100 wins that part of the comp.

I see where you are coming from and thanks for the input, it was not really a big issue at the time as the people playing knew the script, but I would just like to suggest that on the "New Round" an option for the 6th piece of info would be cool, especially as HORSE is becoming more popular now. I just know it would help me greatly as a TD. Not a problem if it can't be done, it will just look the business even more than it already is, if it were 8)

Guys first let me say that I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to computers ;D

Corey, I did what you suggested, unfortunately I can only edit, odd rounds or even rounds, so they all change?

How do i do it, so the first two levels have the Blinds and the next 3 have the Bring-in, as if I put the Bring-in into the Blind section the players will just get messed up?

2 X Flop Games

Blinds: 25/50
Stakes 50/100
Ante 0

3 X Stud Games
Ante 3
Bring-in 10
Stakes 25/50

for example?

Suggestions / HORSE comp
« on: January 10, 2007, 12:09:10 AM »
Ok I ran a limit HORSE comp last night using TD, Helped tremendously THANK YOU COREY * bows*

What would be good though, as i had to do it manually by verbal announcements, as well as the ante and Stakes to be able to add what the compulsary bring in, in the stud games are.

i.e Ante 3 Stakes 25 and 50 ......bring in for 10

ms-its:C:\Program Files\The Tournament Director 2.0\TD.lib::/kDialog.html

Error code, and now cannot exit TD ?

Not tried running a comp yet, but the new 2.2.2 version still has the slit in the clock, when the update says it would fix this problem.

Have I done something wrong?

HEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPP please ;D
