Help Me / Re: Players in League Export
« on: March 10, 2021, 03:50:11 PM »
After looking a little closer, I realized I can create a new tournament for League-1, add all players assigned to League-1, then export from the Players tab. Repeat for League2, League-3, etc.

Is there a better method? To be honest, the above method was extremely easy. :)

Help Me / Players in League Export
« on: March 10, 2021, 03:13:18 PM »
Hi folks! I was wondering if there is a way to export all the leagues a player is a member of?

I can export the desired details for all players but don't see an export for a league's members.

Thanks!

Help Me / TD Re-Export to StatsGenie Issue
« on: April 14, 2019, 01:17:52 PM »
I recently had a need to re-export a tournament into StatsGenie.
What happened was I had used the wrong buy-in profile for a player (player bought a bounty but I used no bounty profile) and the error was not noticed for a few days.
Once noticed, it was an easy fix in TD via 'Edit <player>'  on the Players tab then 'Edit Buy-in' under the History section.
Now all data looks correct in TD and the Summary tab correctly reflects the player's bounty purchase.
Next, I exported the tournament like always from TD and that was successful.

My first question was if TD would over-write the existing tournament?
When I checked on SG, I only saw one entry for the tournament so looked like over-write was successful but when I checked the History in SG, it still showed the player as using a non-bounty profile.

I then deleted the tournament from SG and re-exported from TD again.
When checking on SG, the tournament still showed the player as using a non-bounty profile under history.
All the other tabs looked fine though; the bounty purchase was reflected and the player's take for the game was correct.
I don't know if the other tabs were correct at the first re-export as I didn't check them at the time since I still saw the issue with the incorrect profile under sumarry.

I was able to edit the history in SG so I'm fine now, but I guess I'm asking if there is a bug in the TD export pertaining to the summary tab when a tournament is re-exported or is this something on the SG side that didn't update the history when the tournament was re-exported?

That's a whole lot of detail for what is probably a minor issue   ;)  but if it's something that can be fixed, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

Beta Testing / Re: 3.5 Progress
« on: October 27, 2018, 01:16:14 PM »
I was just reading this entire thread... Wow! Lots to look forward to!
I'm very excited about possibly being able to run TD under Linux.

My hat is off to you Corey for all the time and effort you've put into not only v3.5, but just in general.
For as long as I've used TD (~12 years), you've always been super accessible and extremely responsive.
In addition, a "Well done" to all the users in general. This forum has some of the best users I've ever encountered.
Of course, we are all poker players, and most of us nerds, so what else would you expect?!?! :)

Thanks again!

So I'm NOT going crazy.... ;)

I too have noticed this anomaly since the last month or so.
Thought it was mouse batteries going dead or some driver issue, etc.
For me, it's like the mouse click is only partially accepted. Click on an item and it is depressed but the underlying process is not initiated. Click again then it completes.

At least now I'll just deal with it and not go to extremes to try and 'fix' it.

Help Me / Rounding bug?
« on: January 03, 2016, 01:55:09 PM »
Not sure if this is a bug or if I'm doing something wrong but it looks like the prize rounding is incorrect in a couple of the attached screen shots.
#1 is without rounding to show the base payout
#2 is round down to nearest .25 and looks wrong
#3 is round down to nearest .50 and looks correct
#4 is round down to nearest .75 and looks wrong

Not a big deal at all; I just happened to notice it when I was playing around with changing our prize structure for 2016 season

Help Me / Re: Side pots
« on: January 03, 2016, 01:43:11 PM »
What I do for our games is create a per player rake called "High Hand Rake" then create a prize called "High Hand Jackpot" equal to the total amount of the rake.
I then set the House contribution on the Game tab to that amount as well.

$1 High hand rake per player; 10 players = $10 raked. Prize set at $10; House contribution set at $10

Basically, you are pulling $10 out of the pot then adding it back in as a prize via the House contribution.
Works great for us.

Suggestions / Re: Exporting to Statsgenie v3
« on: December 25, 2014, 12:01:19 PM »
I have not tried your suggestion of a test export yet but I did take a glance at the XML files for the 2012 (worked), 2013 (wrong) and 2014 (wrong) tournaments.

I noticed that both the 2013 and 2014 files indicate a Buyin of "10" but not the 2012 so I took another close look at the 2013/14 tournament setup and I just cannot see any where a $10 buyin is configured.

Here are the XML lines:
2012
<Tournament type="TD v2" League="KC MD - LCI" Season="2012" Name="01-DEC-2012, NL HE, LCI" TournamentType="No Limit" TournamentGame="Texas Hold 'Em" Buyin="0" ShowBuyinByPlayer="-1" RebuyAmount="0" AllowRebuys="0" AddOnAmount="0" AllowAddOns="0" BountiesAllowed="0" TournamentStartDate="2012-12-02 01:58:43" TournamentEndDate="2012-12-02 03:43:57" TournamentComments="This is the 2012 winner take all LCI event.

2013
<Tournament type="TD v2" League="KC MD - LCI" Season="2013" Name="20131207, NL HE, LCI" TournamentType="No Limit" TournamentGame="Texas Hold 'Em" Buyin="10" ShowBuyinByPlayer="1" RebuyAmount="0" AllowRebuys="0" AddOnAmount="0" AllowAddOns="0" BountiesAllowed="0" TournamentStartDate="2013-12-08 00:03:25" TournamentEndDate="2013-12-08 01:11:30" TournamentComments="This is the 2013 winner take all LCI event.

2014
<Tournament type="TD v2" League="KC MD - LCI" Season="2014" Name="20141122, NL HE, LCI" TournamentType="No Limit" TournamentGame="Texas Hold 'Em" Buyin="10" ShowBuyinByPlayer="1" RebuyAmount="0" AllowRebuys="0" AddOnAmount="0" AllowAddOns="0" BountiesAllowed="0" TournamentStartDate="2014-11-22 21:51:01" TournamentEndDate="2014-11-22 22:03:25" TournamentComments="This is the 2014 winner take all LCI event.

I'll try to play around with the test export over the long weekend and give you an update.

Merry Christmas!

Suggestions / Re: Exporting to Statsgenie v3

I was going to start a new thread but mcfrojd's issue is very similar to what I was going to report so will join in here.
Feel free to move this to a new thread if desired.

I also have just completed importing all my SGV2 history into SGV3 and all looks pretty good but I noticed on a recent tournament that does not have a buy-in (freeroll with prize being a seat in the YE tournament) that it shows the buy-in as $10.

I went back and looked in SGV2 to compare and it also shows a $10 buy-in there as well.
I then checked all the tournaments of this type (we play this every year since 2007) and the 2013 tournament also showed a $10 buy-in but all prior years looked correct.
The ones that are correct were using TD 3.1.1 or earlier. The two incorrect ones are 2013 using TD 3.2.1 and 2014 using TD 3.3.

I've compared all the tournaments and cannot find any indication of a $10 buy-in and the summary tab for all of them look correct (all showing $0.00 for buy-in).

It still may be something I've got configured wrong but I sure cannot see it if that is the case.
I can send you any/all of the tournament files if you want to have a look.

Thanks!

Help Me / Re: TD slowing/hanging and/or crashing
« on: August 10, 2014, 11:44:31 AM »
Soooo, I've got KB2962872 installed (on July 09) and have not been having any issues. Played 3 tournaments last night without a hitch.

I'm planning on leaving things "as is" for now and will remove the update if I start to see any issues but was curious if others were doing the same or have removed the update anyway whether having issues or not?

Help Me / Re: Calculation for hits under stats is not correct
« on: December 09, 2012, 02:56:46 PM »
Well, it appears  I was on crack or having a flashback of some sort  :-[ because when I went back in to double check and further document, I can not now find the discrepancy.

I must have had a test tournament in my path that I was not initially aware of??

At any rate, it all seems to look good so chalk another one up to user error......

Sorry for any confusion or extra work I may have caused.

Merry Christmas to all!

Help Me / Calculation for hits under stats is not correct
« on: December 02, 2012, 01:16:28 PM »
I've just noticed a problem where the hits listed under stats is not properly showing shared hits.
When a hit is split between 2 players it appears that the number is rounded up to a whole number for each player sharing the hit under stats.

At first I thought my issue was similar to the topic below regarding chops but after reading it a couple of times I think my issue is different as there is not a chop involved.
http://www.thetournamentdirector.net/forums/index.php?topic=3589.msg17211#msg17211

In my case, we are using a points for playing formula as follows:
((n-r)+1)+(if(r=1 and m,n*.4,0)+if(r=2 and m,n*.2,0)+if(r=3 and m,n*.1,0)+if(r=4 and m,n*.05,0)+if(r=5 and m,n*.025,0)+if(r=6 and m,n*.0125,0))+nh*2
So basically, a point for playing, a point for every player you outlast, 2 points for a KO and some extra points if you make the money.

I've been using the above formula for a couple of years without incident. I just noticed the discrepancy today as I was exporting stats from last nights tournaments.
I have a couple of players in our league that have a shared hit in the past and they did not play last night so when I looked at their totals in stats today, the points have increased.
Also, another player that did play and also shared a hit in the past but had no KO's last night shows an increase in hits from the last time he played (was 67.5 hits before but stats now shows 68 hits)

I have "points precision" under preferences > currency / numbers set to 2 and "show hits using whole numbers" is not enabled.

I can really see it pretty easy with one player that has only played 2 tournaments. She made 16 points in one tournament (5th place of 14 players and 3 KO's so 1 point for playing, outlasted 9 players + 6 points for 3 KO's). Her next tournament she got 11 points (6th place of 13 players and 1.5 KO's so 1 point for playing, outlasted 7 players + 1 KO + 1 shared KO) for a total of 27 points.

When I look at her player statistics in stats under "player income" it shows her receiving 16 points for the first tournament (correct) and 12 points for the second tournament (incorrect).

I've not changed any settings in TD that I'm aware of that might have caused this. The only thing that I can think of that has changed is a patch that was applied in the last week sometime but it does not appear to be related at all per the patch description. I'm running 3.1.1, patch 4

I can send you any of my tournaments if you think it might help to clarify what I'm describing or maybe someone has a suggestion that I might investigate.

Thanks all ! !
