Help Me / Re: League Standings

Did the <stats> token make it into the latest 3.2 beta?

A <stats> token is on the to-do list.  I'd like to get it into the upcoming 3.2 release, but I don't know yet if it will make it.

Suggestions / iPad/iPhone Remote
« on: March 09, 2013, 04:53:31 PM »
I know this has been mentioned in the past, but the most helpful feature for my league players would be the ability to display the tournament status on an iPhone or iPad, especially for those that have their backs to the display.

More so, the ability to pause, bust out, and advance rounds at a minimum would be the most helpful for me!

Thanks again Corey... this is by far the best software out there...

Great idea, Corey!  I'll try that for the next one...

You can also display stats this way:

1) Create a cell with HTML like this:

<iframe src="<datastore>\saves\currentStandings.html" height=1600 width=1200 frameborder=0 scrolling=yes></iframe>

Change the height and width to match your screen resolution ... or close to it.

2) Insert the cell into a new screen in your layout.  You could add this to a Screen Set and set the Screen Set's conditions to display the screen after the tournament is over.  Or, you can simply select the screen after the tournament ends.

3) After the tournament ends, Refresh Stats on the Stats tab.

4) Export the stats to HTML and save them to a file named "currentStandings.html".

5) Select the screen with the stats cell.  Or, if it's already displayed, refresh it by viewing a different page then going back to that page.

Is there a way to create a screen that displays updated stats for a season (assuming the correct profile has been created) at the end of a tournament?  The first thing players want to know after the tournament is where they are in the standings, and care less about the player rankings for that single tournament... just curious if this is possible?  Right now, I just refresh the stats and display from the settings window.

Help Me / Help with Prizes
« on: October 01, 2012, 11:07:58 PM »
In our tournaments, we have an optional add-on at the beginning of the tournament.  What we'd like to do is award a percentage to the first person out of the tournament as a consolation... however, they have to have purchased the add-on to be eligible.  So, in other words, award it to the first person out that has purchased the add-on.  For example, if we have 20 people in the tournament, and 18 people purchase the $5 add-on, we would take $1 of each add-on ($18) and award it to the first person out, but only if they were one of the 18.  If the first person out is not eligible, the prize goes to the first eligible player knocked out.  Make sense?

This seems pretty complex, and with my limited knowledge of manipulating the prizes template, I'm stumped as to how to do this.  Any thoughts??

General Discussion / Re: AirDisplay with TD3?

Did not care for TeamViewer... left a splash screen up every time the iPad went to sleep.  Ended up buying SplashTop, which worked well combined with a layout that uses the controls buttons.

General Discussion / AirDisplay with TD3?

Just wondering if anyone has had success using this app on their iPad... http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/air-display/id368158927?mt=8

I'm looking for a solution that will allow for an external display (i.e. TV) to show the tournament, and manage the player knockouts/buy-ins/add-ons/etc/etc via the iPad without disrupting the external display.  I know that VNC clients can be used, but not exactly the solution I'm looking for.

Help Me / Re: Rankings screen when player busts out
« on: March 15, 2012, 09:14:49 PM »
Did the <points> variable make it in?  I can't seem to use it... I'm assuming that would be 3.2 as well... thanks again!

Adding a few variables to the Event message display would be good, too.  <prizepoints> and <points> (for total points the player has) would also solve this.  I'll put all this down on the to-do list.  Shouldn't be too difficult.

Cool, thanks a lot Corey!

I'll add a variable lastPlayerBustOutTime (there's already a lastPlayerMoveTime).  This would allow you to create a Screen Set that displayed the Player Rankings screen for a specified amount of time after a bust-out.  For example, the Conditions:

((time - lastPlayerBustOutTime) > 0) and ((time - lastPlayerBustOutTime) < 60)

... would cause a Screen Set to be selected for 60 seconds following any player's bust-out, and then go back to the usual Screen Set.  With just the Player Rankings screen in that Screen Set, you'd get what you were looking for.

Adding a few variables to the Event message display would be good, too.  <prizepoints> and <points> (for total points the player has) would also solve this.  I'll put all this down on the to-do list.  Shouldn't be too difficult.

Help Me / Rankings screen when player busts out
« on: December 02, 2011, 05:14:49 PM »
I was wondering if there was an easy way to display the Rankings screen for (x) seconds/minutes after a player busts out?  I continually get the "How many points did I earn?" question immediately after someone busts out.  Alternatively, if someone knows how to get a message to display "<name> busted out by <hitman> in <position> place and receives <points> points." would work as well... thanks in advance!
