Help Me / Re: rankning from TD2 to TD3
« on: January 19, 2014, 08:43:21 AM »
On the stats tab, click on "Edit Profiles". From there, the second box from the upper right is where you can indicate the location for the files to be used from the stats.

switch(r,1,11,2,8,3,7,4,6,5,5,6,4,7,3,8,2,9,1,0)

This will look at the player's rank (r), and if it finds it, in the list, will award the appropriate points. If it doesn't, it will award zero points (the lone 0). (1st = 11, 2=8, etc.)

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Re: Downloading Layouts
« on: December 17, 2013, 11:29:55 PM »
What version of TTD are you running?  Depending on the version the layout was created in, that may be culprit right there. Newer version can load older version layouts, but not the other way around (meaning it's backwards compatible, but not forward compatible).

Suggestions / Re: Buy-in Profiles
« on: November 21, 2013, 12:07:44 AM »
Corey,

If I'm understanding IBuyCars correctly, have he wants to have the ability to charge for three rebuys, and have the option for the program to record it as three rebuys at once, instead of doing it one by one.  As I understand it, IBuyCars has three profiles - one for a single rebuy, one for a double, and the other for a triple - however, all three only record as one rebuy within TD, instead of 1, 2, or 3, respectively.

Help Me / Re: 10 player final table

I can confirm that it works. I've done that same exact thing, but when I was first getting going. (Why didn't I remember that... Must be my "old age".... lol)

Set up all the tables that you need to run as a 9 person table. Create one more table as a 10 person table. Make all ten seats as "Unavailable", so that nobody gets seated at that table. You don't have to have a physical table, however. Set your collapsing order so that the 10-seater is broken down last. When you get to 11, make all the seats available, so that when you get down to ten, they will break to that table.

Help Me / Re: BuyIn with 2 Pc's

I know others have used more than two screens to show the clock, but I'm not one of them. As far as using two laptops to do buy ins, you can, but not in the way you'd expect it to. If you're looking for one to buy in, and send info to the other seamlessly, it's not going to happen. but if you save the tournament and add the players to the other, then it would work (to my knowledge, at least).

If I'm not mistaken, I think JodyBingo would be helpful in this matter, too.

Help Me / Re: Best way to handle this point adjustment
« on: November 03, 2013, 04:54:46 PM »
Two ways that I know of.

1. Leave the tournament alone, with the winner as a non-database player. Then, create the database player, but NOT by merging the player. This will keep his league points at zero, with no other intervention needed.

2. If you have already merged the player, re-load the tournament, and you can manually adjust the points so that he receives zero points for that tournament.

Between the two, I'd personally suggest the first one.

Kevziniou - You're welcome!

tartoga1 - are you wanting just the top three of the 20 to be awarded points (besides the automatic 5), or is everyone in the top 20 getting points? If it's the 2nd option, then I would need to see more of your point structure to be able to assist, as the way you're going right now, you'd only be able to have five places paid out.

n-r+1 will do the trick for you. Last place will be awarded one point, and everyone else will get one more point. The amount awarded will change, based upon the number of players you have. See my two examples below.

Example 1:  3 players
1st: 3
2nd: 2
3rd: 1

Example 2: 10 players
1st: 10
2nd: 9
3rd: 8
4th: 7
5th: 6
6th: 5
7th: 4
8th: 3
9th: 2
10th: 1

Help Me / Re: Help with multiple game scoring

You can definitely export each tournament into an HTML file, but to get the stats to show for individualized tournaments, I don't think it to be possible. Been a while since I've hosted, so I could be wrong on this. You can, however, bring that snapshot, like you have attached, and have it show on its own screen; however, it won't automatically update with results.

For what it's worth, I've NEVER had any popup come up on my computer, with the only exception being dialogue boxes. Since those are strictly with the program, I would obviously expect that to be. To the few that are having issues & blaming TTD 3, I would suggest not running any other program and see if the pop ups continue. I doubt they would, but you never know....

What if there was a token or an uneditable information field that would track the last tournament the player was a part of, that would list the tournament title?
