Storage of players' photos?
« on: July 16, 2020, 10:33:56 AM »
Hello,

In which directory on my computer are stored photos of player cards please?

Is it possible to back up all of its settings and data to install on another computer?

Thank you for your help.

When you add an image for a player, the image is copied into the player database.  If you need to see where that is, press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+V from anywhere.

To backup all settings and data, go to the Database tab and press the Backup button.  Select everything you want to include.  This will backup your data to a ZIP file.

On another PC, you can install the TD, go to the Database tab, press the Restore button, select your ZIP file, and all your data and settings will now be transferred.

Thanks,
it works for backup. On the other hand I can not locate the photos by finding the directory. What format are they saved?

The images are not altered.  They are stored in their original format.  Tthe image file is just copied to the DB folder and renamed.  Player info in the DB folder is stored in files named using the player's internal unique identifier.  Corresponding player images have file names with "-img" appended.

For example, a player info file might look like this:

1d6f80f2-b888-4987-a49e-a00cf95c44e8

Its corresponding image will be:

1d6f80f2-b888-4987-a49e-a00cf95c44e8-img
