Suggestions / Rounds Template Name
« on: December 08, 2023, 10:29:55 PM »
I have several round templates saved for various numbers of players.  I think it would be great if there was a place I could see which template is loaded at any given time.  As it is, if I make a change to a template and go to save it, I have to guess which one I had open. Same would be cool for Prizes templates as well.

Beta Testing / Re: 3.7 Released!
« on: March 31, 2020, 09:28:21 PM »
I just want to say what an awesomely pleasant experience it has been using the new version. We've had two tournaments with it and they were the first games in a couple of years were we did not have an issue that required a restart of the software during a tournament. Our tournaments typically last 7 hours or so.

Thank you for all you dedicated work on this new platform!

This is very exciting, as we've certainly experienced difficulties with TTD over the last couple of years.  However, this being a whole new build and major overhaul, why v3.5 instead of v4?

Thank you, this appears to have fixed the screen not updating for us?

I agree, some mass change functionality would be excellent.

Help Me / Re: TD2 and Windows 7
« on: June 23, 2010, 08:19:30 PM »
I've had some lingering problems with 64-bit Win 7 as well.  I'll screen cap the next time they occur, but it seems it only occurs when I'm doing an elimination and there is a table move.

A couple of suggestions, ashb2223:

Microsoft Live Sync is free an can sync entire folders as they change across the internet on multiple computers.

Another idea, if you would rather have the files in one location and accessible eslewhere is using VPN as mentioned.  However, these can be tedious to set up.  LogMeIn Hamachi makes using VPN as easy as using a IM Client.  It is also free for personal and non-profit use.

TD is built on Internet Explorer, so I doubt there is any way it will be ported to Mac.  You could always run it in a Windows virtual machine.

I have been using Statsgenie for 5 years, and it has been great.  Also, MyPunchBowl is a free rsvp system that you can accept payments from invitees through PayPal (though if PayPal knew what the money was for, they would not allow it.)

Another great podcast serving the Kentucky area is GeeksonPoker.   The have some nice guests too!  Have Hall of Famer, former UofL basketball coach Denny Crum last week and the Poker Brat, Phil Hellmuth this week.

I have been using three services to accomplish those tasks, as I have not found a single service that does it all well.

I use MyPunchBowl for invitations and RSVPing, but used Evite in the past.

I use StatsGenie for hosting tournament data.  This is my fifth year of doing so, and it has been great.

I use Google Groups to send out my communications to members.

NOW, Windows 7 has released.  :P

Awesome, do you have something to add here?

I thought I did.   :-[
