Title: Bounty Tournament - Option to purchase bounty chip.

In a bounty tournament where having a bounty chip is optional. 3 players in the hand, they are all in. The winner didn't have a bounty chip. He ko'd the 2 other players who each have a bounty chip. Winner cannot collect bounty chip because he chose not to buy one. Remaining 2: One had the other covered in chips and  had the better hand. Question. Do they each keep their bounty chip or does it go to the one with the bigger stack/better hand.

I would treat it just like a side pot... the better hand gets the bounty chip.

There was no side pot, the winner took all the chips but no bounties.

Agreed - I would probably award the bounties to the better hand.
