The Tournament Director is available in English only. However, the software is internationalized, and anyone may modify the language files in order to support a particular language. Some users of the Tournament Director software have translated much of the program and have been kind enough to share their translations with other users, free of charge. Please note that these translations may be incomplete, and are neither endorsed nor supported. Any issues occurring from use of these language packs are yours to deal with (although really there shouldn't be any "problems" using them - just standard disclaimer stuff).
Simply select a language pack, download and install (after you have installed the Tournament Director application). To change languages, start the Tournament Director, select the Preferences tab, and press the Language button.
Please note the following items:
-
Any language pack may be used with any version of the software
The Tournament Director was internationalized (translation enabled) starting with version 2.3. Although the following language packs are noted for a specific version of the software, they may be used with any version as long as it is version 2.3 or greater.
-
You only need 1 language pack for any given language
Several language packas are available for some languages due to the fact that several people have contributed their own translations. But you only need one.
-
You may need to select the appropriate install folder if used with version 3
The language packs will attempt to determine the installation location of the Tournament Director software automatically. However, they are usually looking for the installation folder of version 2. If you intend to use the language pack with version 3, you may need to set the install folder appropriately.
