[Resolved] Blocked on Validating license

Hi all,

I just launched TD 3.3 to set up my next tournament and it doesn't go further than "validating license" and then TD stop responding, I can't even kill the process in windows. I deactivated my firewall but that didn't change anything.

I run Windows 8.1 64bits.

 I also tried to do this: but I still have the issue (btw I could use TD after July 2014 without any problem).

Lastly I tried to cancel the license validation process and I got that screen (sorry for being paranoid about the license):

As you can see, TD doesn't respond anymore neither.

I think now I really need help as I have no more clue to investigate.

Ok...sorry for the probably useless post...

I tried to uninstall TD and reinstall. TD wouldn't even launch after that. So I decided to reboot windows and try again. When I launched it again, I had an alert from firewall regarding the HTML stuff in windows that TD uses to work. It was, as I suspected first, related to my firewall that needed to update the rule regarding the HTML application used by TD.

TD asked for my license again and could validate it, now it works fine.

First let me say that I'm sorry that this happened to you and that I understand how frustrating the license validation can be.  I wish it didn't have to be this way.

I understand that this is after the fact, but for you or anyone else reading this please know that if you have any trouble with the licensing of the software to please contact me directly ( and I will do my best to sort out any situation you are experiencing.
