Is there a way to change the Default Tournament? I would like to make my league tourney the default that loads when I open TD. Thanks!

Preferences > Config Files > Default Files.

make up your tournament the way you want it to load each time TD loads, then save it as default or something similar.  Then edit the default as jodybingo has specified.
