Hi Corey couple of issues I have detected so far:

When entering text in a dialogue box such as Edit Table OK is no longer highlighted by default so you cannot hit return or enter to ok the information without first tabbing to the ok box or clicking on it.

when hitting X or click bust-out on the controls screen the following error appears:

'this.getElement(...)' is null or not an object (ControlsTab, TournamentPage: 1031)
 at uber(String)
 at anonymous()
 at openDialog(BustPlayersOutDialog)
 at bustPlayersOutDialog(null, null, null)
 at bustPlayersOutDialogWrapper()
 at TournamentPage.hotkeyHandler(Object, Hotkey.Binding)
 at GameWindow.hotkey()

Stu - the issue with the OK is one I got too, and Corey said he did that on purpose for a few (See my most 2.6.b2 edit player thread).  As far as hitting X to bust out, I've not done that as I've been continuing using the buttons, which work well. I've got to backload a tournament from this season and I will try to use X instead of the button to see if I get the same error.

Just noticed also that events messages are not flashing

Thanks for the heads up on the ENTER condition, same message appears if I use X or if I click the bust out button on the controls screen

Using X to bust out players, TD runs smoothly for me, I don't get any error that way.  For what it may be worth, I'm running Win7 Pro edition.

Hi Corey couple of issues I have detected so far:

When entering text in a dialogue box such as Edit Table OK is no longer highlighted by default so you cannot hit return or enter to ok the information without first tabbing to the ok box or clicking on it.

This is actually unchanged.  The Edit Table dialog (if we're speaking about the same dialog) has two fields: "Name" and "Number of seats".  The "Name" field is selected and focused when the dialog is initially opened.  It's the same dialog as when you add a new table.  So, if you're adding a table, focus is immediately in the Name field so you can instantly begin typing a name.  If you're editing a table, the current table name is selected, so you can rename the table immediately by just typing.  Pressing Enter would do the same thing as pressing the OK button if the dialog had only one field.  That's the nature of the way the dialogs work.  If there's only a single field, Enter will "accept" (do the same thing as pressing the OK button).  If there's more than one field, you must press the OK button - pressing the Enter key won't do it (unless focus is on the OK button).

I couldn't reproduce this one at first, either.  In fact, I believe jodybingo sent me an email about this one back in alpha 1, but I couldn't figure it out then either.  Turns out this happens when the "Allow Find on player dialogs" preference is enabled, and the "Allow selection of hitman when busting players out" preference is disabled.  Thanks for reporting this, and helping me to nail that one down.

I'll look into this.

I like the new look of the preferences tab...the screen is no longer cluttered. Great job.
Just tried to export my DB of players (unchecked all other boxes), and got this...

Yeh,

just turned on 'allow selection of hitman' and that error is now gone, and indeed 'allow find in players dialogue' is enabled also.

If you only need one of those two conditions to be true, then I can say I have the allow find enabled and I do not run into that issue.  Hitman selection is enabled on mine, though

If the preference to "All Find on player dialogs" is enabled, then the dialog adds both search controls and then tries to initialize them.  However, if the preference "Allow selection of hitman when busting players out" is enabled, then the hitman search control isn't ever actually rendered, so trying to initialize it will produce an error.  But the dialog tries anyway.  I've fixed it for the next release.

The famous jodybingo, of course.  :)

I'm not sure how this one got past me.  I totally rewrote the backup/restore code, so you can be sure I tested the $#!+ out of it.  I've been another OCD mission to reformat some of the code (no real changes, just make it more readable) and I think I might have fat fingered a bug into this.

Regardless, it's fixed for the next round.  As is the event messages not flashing.

Just tested out the Countdown function, which is not quite what I expected. Is there any way of adding a pause the clock at the end of countdown to the option or countdown only to start then wait for start tournament, as frequently when the countdown is complete that is merely the end of registration and seating and thus ensues trophies and speeches etc - just a suggestion as most commercial clocks I use in casinos will countdown but not start the tournament until a further intervention has occurred

love the columb function for listing seating by player, is there any way of making it rotating pages rather than scrolling up and down as if you list 200 players with 4 columbs it does become hard to read unless you font size down enough to make all the information fit on screen

Nope.  I'll put something on the list, but I can't guarantee anything.

Hi Corey,

Did you have a look at the Events Messages not flashing bug?  I was checking it again today and have noticed that status messages are flashing ok, so it seems to be just the events messages that are not flashing.
