It has took me over twelve months to find a blind structure that works
best for us.
I now use the one below all the time and it works perfectly.
The 2 tourneys I run the most are my standard d/c and my deep stack.
They work for my 10 seaters and 16 seaters.

Standard d/c, chips 4000/4000 (8000) with a 20 min clock, lasts about 4 1/2 hours

Deep stack, 12,000 chips with a 40 min clock, lasts about 9 hours, I bring antes in after round 7.

Just thught that I would post them, in case anybody was looking for a structure.

Blinds
25-50
50-100
75-150
100-200
150-300
200-400

400-800
600-1200
800-1600
1200-2400
2000-4000  (capped)

A 10 seater that lasts 9 hours?  Ouch.

With our weekly game, we start at 7:30 p.m. with blinds at
25/50, then double until after the 400/800 and go to
500/1000.  Then doubling for each blind thereafter.

We will have anywhere from 8 to 20 players and so no rebuys after the 6th round (usually  at 10:30)
  We start with $ 20 000

The length of each blind starts at 25 mins for first 2, then 20 mins for next 3, then 15 mins to end.  We put in 1 -  10 minute break each hour, and the average length of game is 4 hours.

Not sure I like this, I don't agree with boubling the blinds and I think all levels should be the same.

One thing all poker players want, well a few things,

is

A steady blind structure that allows them to play poker without having to push or someone having to push every hand.

Players play to the blind amount and level period, they like to know that every level is the same.

What good is a game when there are 3 or 4 left with less than 6 oy 7 big blinds.
