Table direction
« on: May 08, 2009, 04:17:36 AM »
Hy,

I'm from Germany and we organize some events.

I actually wonder why there is no way to change the direction of the tables, or even can mix them too?

This would be very helpful for the competitors to find there seats more quickly.

Best regards

Steve

What do you mean by "change the direction"?  And "mix them"?

I mean, for the moment you only can place the tables horizontal and not vertical orientated.

Upright instead of lying would be nice.

At our tours we sometimes have different orientated table, so if there would be a way to direct them accordingly, that would be great !

Thanks for your help.

Best regards

Steve

Still kind of confused, but I believe you are referring to the table images.  If so, you can create your own, and intermix the images how you see fit.  The user manual included with the software has all of the information you should need create your own table images and corresponding blueprints (which tell the software how to lay out names, etc, on the table image).

Of course, feel free to ask questions here if anything in the manual isn't clear enough.

The way I read it is that he wants to layout the images either vertically or horizontally on the screen depending on how the tables are actually positioned in the room.

That's correct !

We tried tor get a vertical image into the screen, but we always just get the half of the table on the screen.

We are not that professional to create a proper image with all necessary data's, so if you know someone, who can create such tables, we would be very pleased.

As we work on a 1900x1080 resolution beamer, we would need a 8 seater and 10 seater table large, and medium.

Is there a way to change the colours of the tables too?

Can someone help?

Best regards

The image of the table itself is just that - an image - so you can make it look however you like.  There is a corresponding "blueprint", which is an XML file (a text file with a particular structure) that describes how large the image is, where to put player names, etc, fonts, font colors, sizes, etc.

Post the table image and I'll see if I can put together a blueprint for it.
