IE8 Offical Release is out

I haven't done an "official" test yet (it's on the list - like everything else ), but beginning with IE 8 RC 1 and with TD 2.5.6, everything appeared to be working fine.  Once IE8 hit release candidate 1, the only thing I had to change was some UI spacing to fix some graphical artifacts that appeared on dialogs and such.  All of the other "problems" just went away once IE8 got out of beta.

I haven't tested every last feature as of yet, but have not come across any issues with IE8.  I won't do a full, 100% regression test with IE8, but there are many TD users already using IE8, and no problems specific to IE8 reported since it was released from beta.  Additionally, you can uninstall IE8 and return to IE7 should you have any problems.  (I've tried the IE8 uninstall on Windows XP and it worked without issue.)

Will the uninstall work ok with Vista?

I didn't try it personally, but numerous people told me they did this when IE8 was in beta.  I got a lot of error reports because the TD didn't work properly with the beta version of IE8.  The solution was to go back to IE7, which is done on Vista by uninstalling IE8.  At least a dozen people told me they did this and the TD began working again.  So I would think it would work as well with the final version of IE8.

But I also don't think you'll have any trouble with IE8 and the TD.
