Edit the Player Rankings screen properties.  You can do this by right-clicking in the Game window and selecting Screen Properties or by pressing the Properties button in the Screen Controls section on the Layout tab.  Select the Player Rankings Screen.  Then choose the sort method in the Format section.  You can sort by "rank, name, chip count", or by "rank, chip count, name", or create your own custom sort.

I can't seem to figure out how to sort by chip count for all players. When I updated to the newest version, this feature reset itself or something. When I update chip counts at breaks, it doesn't sort by chip leader down to short stack. How can I correct this?
Help Me / Re: Poker League - Formula for calculating points
« Last post by Corey Cooper on September 29, 2018, 11:42:46 AM »
This would go in Points for Playing (on the Game tab) or as the Tournament Score formula.

Points for Playing formula adds to (or subtracts from) each player's Points value.  Points are summed automatically on the Stats tab.

Tournament Scores creates a "Score" value for each player on the Stats tab.

In effect, Points for playing and Tournament Scores behave in exactly the same way: they create a value for each player, for each tournament, in Stats.  However, PfP allows you to have a different formula for every tournament over which you compute statistics, while Tournament Scores will be the same formula for every tournament.  It's easier to maintain/change Tournament Scores, since you only have to make a single change for every tournament, but that precludes the ability to create a value differently per tournament, which PfP does.

Overall Scores creates a value for each player out of the cumulative values created by the Stats.  For example, the Tournament Scores formula will create a value for each player for each tournament.  The Overall Scores formula takes the values created for each tournament and computes a final value.

Would this formula go in the tournament scores, the overall scores, or both?

When chopping any number of players, the prize money that goes with the ranks those players get is combined and divided evenly.  If you choose to divvy up based on chip stacks, the chip stacks you enter create percentages, which is how the money will be divided.  The chop process doesn't take into account if a specific player will have a lower amount than any particular prize (it probably should, but it does not currently).

To take your example, let's say the prizes are $1000 and $600 for 1st and 2nd place, and the last 2 players decide to chop.  If one player has 5000 in chips and the other player has 1500, that makes it:

6500 total chips
First player has 5000/6500 = 76.9% of the chips
Second player has 1500/6500 = 23.1% of the chips

So, first place would get $1600 X 76.9% = $1230.40
and second place would get $1600 X 23.1% = $369.60

Obviously second place would not go for this, because the chop is worth less than playing it out.

Using the ICM would yield something much more reasonable:

First place: $907.69
Second place: $692.31

ICM is definitely on my radar to add (along with lots of other things) once I get past the current issues and get the next version out.

When chopping 2 players the player with the smaller amount of chips gets less than 2nd place prize money. What am I doing wrong? If this is correct, what is the logic? Thanks!

Press Ctrl+F.  That goes for the Players tab, Database tab, and Stats tab, as well as any dialog with players listed.  You'll also find Preferences in the Behavior category on the Preferences tab.

You can print the player movement.  On the Preferences tab, select the Behavior category, then check the box next to "Show the Print button on Player Movement dialogs."

Setting up the ability to print receipts with seating assignments on buy-in/rebuy/add-on is certainly possible (as evidenced in the video), but does take some work.  I believe the person in that video used the Find feature on the various buy-in/rebuy/add-on dialogs, along with a player ID added to the database.  The ID was then used by another application to print ID cards with barcodes.  So a scan of the ID card matched an ID of a player in the TD's player database.  The Find feature had the "Auto perform action" option enabled (a checkbox on the buy-in/rebuy/add-on dialogs), so when scanning an ID card, the ID matched a single player, which caused the TD to automatically perform the action (buy-in, rebuy, or add-on) and printed a receipt with their seating assignment.
