Suggestions / Licensing question.
« on: January 08, 2014, 01:16:53 PM »
Just a suggestion,

I have TD on a micro computer. I use it for my 10 man home games in my garage, and I have the computer connected to the internet so that when it checks for the license it does so seamlessly. Last weekend however, I hosted a 30 man tournament, and had to move the game to the amenity room. After dragging all the chips, tables, chairs, food, computer, etc to the room and set everything up, I was dismayed to find that the computer wanted to check for the license. So...I had to unplug everything and race back to my house, connect the computer up, and then validate the license. Once that was complete I was able to run my tournament in the amenity room.

So Corey, I ask this,

In future builds, would it be at all possible to have a validate license button, so that before the computer that has an internet connection is turned off, we can validate the license? It would be helpful in the fact that once validated I can move the computer to an area without internet coverage and still run my tournament?

Thank you in advance,
John.

Suggestions / Status Update by URL Part Trois
« on: January 30, 2013, 11:09:29 PM »
Hi Corey,

In 3.1.1. is there a way to code the jscript and HTML to show that the Clock is in countdown mode vs actual Tournament Clock mode?

What I mean is, in previous conversations, we have discovered that when the game is running:
Round = Round, and when on Break, Round = On Break. (see screenshot Pic 1)

What I would like to have shown when in countdown, the Clock =  Clock: 1:45:00 COUNTDOWN. (Pic 2)

If it sounds confusing, I'm sorry it's late here for me. I would love to discuss.

Suggestions / Warning for those doing status updates via URL
« on: December 12, 2012, 08:02:53 PM »
Hi everyone,

I just experienced a sh*tstorm of a headache. I think my wife or daughter got into my computer that I use for webpage making, javascripting, PS, etc.

I went to view my website today to see how the Status Updates were working. When I got there I noticed the site had adds all over it, Blinds and Cash had hyperlinks to adds.

I found that they downloaded something that injects this code into your HTML. It's called Yontoo. You need to uninstall it, and also kill it from your browser. I use chrome, so it was in the tools, extensions.

I hope this helps the people that do status updates to url.

Help Me / Trying to figure out a bit of javascript.
« on: December 07, 2012, 12:17:02 PM »
Hi there,

I'm looking to add a line into the default live update javascript that Corey has given to us.

What I want to accomplish is;
If tournament buyins is greater than 14 AND player left in the tournament are less than 9 AND tables left = 1
a line on the HMTL will show Cash Game: Yes

This is what I have but is not working;
TDStatus.updatePage = function()
{
  var theChipCount = parseInt(TDStatus.Vars["chipcount"]);
  var thePlayersLeft = parseInt(TDStatus.Vars["playersleft"]);
  var theTablesLeft = parseInt(TDStatus.Vars["tablesleft"]);
  var theAvgStack = thePlayersLeft == 0 ? 0 : Math.floor(theChipCount / thePlayersLeft);
  var theRound = (TDStatus.Vars["isround"] == 1) ? TDStatus.Vars["roundnum"] : "On Break (" + TDStatus.Vars["breaknum"] + ")";
  var theNewClock = TDStatus.getClockValue(TDStatus.Vars["secondsleft"]) + (TDStatus.Vars["clockpaused"] == 1 ? " (PAUSED)" : "");
  var theCashGame = (TDStatus.Vars["buyins"] => 14) + (TDStatus.Vars["playersleft"] <= 9) + (TDStatus.Vars["tablesleft"] == 1) : "YES";

  TDStatus.setValue("clock", theNewClock);
  TDStatus.setValue("round", theRound);
  TDStatus.setValue("blinds", TDStatus.getChipsString(TDStatus.Vars["smallblind"]) + " / " + TDStatus.getChipsString(TDStatus.Vars["bigblind"]));
  TDStatus.setValue("nextblinds", TDStatus.getChipsString(TDStatus.Vars["nextsmallblind"]) + " / " + TDStatus.getChipsString(TDStatus.Vars["nextbigblind"]));
  TDStatus.setValue("players", thePlayersLeft + " / " + TDStatus.Vars["buyins"]);
  TDStatus.setValue("pot", TDStatus.getMoneyString(TDStatus.Vars["pot"]));
  TDStatus.setValue("tablesleft", theTablesLeft);
  TDStatus.setValue("lastupdated", "" + new Date(parseInt(TDStatus.Vars["time"]) * 1000));
  TDStatus.setValue("CashGameOn", theCashGame);

  TDStatus.LastUpdateTime = new Date().getTime();

Thanks for looking, and any help appreciated.

Suggestions / Status Update by URL part DEUX!
« on: December 05, 2012, 09:34:24 AM »
Hi Corey,

Just a question for you. When we update to URL, tdstatus.txt gets pushed to the server. Is there a way that we can modify what gets pushed? I would love to see Rank and ID. I know there are a ton of variables that are pushed as seen in the previous Status Update by URL thread. My thinking is this;

Rank + Player Name = Ability to see who is still in the tournament.

I think the javascript might look something like this; (I am not a programmer by any means, but I think I can do this);

  var thePlayers = parseInt(TDStatus.Vars["ID"]);
  var theRanks = parseInt(TDStatus.Vars["Rank"]);
  TDStatus.setValue("playersplaying", thePlayers + " - " + theRanks);

Thanks Again,

Mesnik44

Actually, my 3rd, but 1st in TD3.

The screens with the blue snow background, actually have the snow falling.

The blind levels are actually spoken when changed (see attached sound files).

Thanks for looking!

Help Me / Tables out of whack
« on: November 25, 2012, 06:40:55 PM »
Hi Folks,

I have designed my own tables, based on what they look like in real life.

My problem is, that when I closed TD3, it lost the formatting. The Hitmen Table is out of alignment. Does anyone know how to set this correctly?

Here is the 2 XMLs;

<table>

    <path>images/hitmenTable2-3.png</path>
          <size width="745" height="325" />
  </image>
  <labels>

    <text color="#00ff40"  />
    <size width="250" height="30" />
    <options showSeatNumber="inuse" />
    <name>
      <location x="center" y="center" />
      <size width="350" height="75" />
      <font size="40" italic="false" />
