Help Me / Using rake to keep track of sidepot
« on: December 22, 2012, 05:06:35 AM »
I'm going to run a tournament where you can either buy in for the regular cost (500) or for a "highstakes cost" (1000) where the "sidepot" (the extra 500 from those buying in for 1000) is being given to the person that lasts longer out of the ones buying in for 1000.

i think of using an rake that i name "sidepot" to keep track of the ones that buy in for the larger amount, and so far it seems to work when i run a test at home. (i don't know if this is the proper way of doing it)

But is there any way to get the information about the amount of the sidpot in a cell in my layout.
I could edit it my self manually, but i would like it to work like a token ex <rake rakeName="Sidepot"> and the ability to have a condition like "if rake rakeName="Sidepot" > 0

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Event to know if to "chip up" at break
« on: December 22, 2012, 04:08:13 AM »
Is there any way to set conditions so it knows if its time to chip up or not?

Now i have 3 events (one for each break) with these conditions:

(not isRound) and (breakNum = 1)
(not isRound) and (breakNum = 2)
(not isRound) and (breakNum = 3)

but some times i have the "chip up" at break 2 and sometimes at break 3, depending on what rounds schedule i use.

Is there any way to use only 2 events with conditions like
(break = true)
(break = true and chipup = true)

Because at start of "non chip up" breaks i play a sound, and at "chip up" break i play a diffrent sound and show a message.
if i would always have the chip up at the same break there would not be a problem.

Sorry, i remembered wrong, i had put the HTML under events as a message.
The reason for it not to work was because i had it on break 3 instead of break 2 the other time.

Help Me / Where are tokens saved?
« on: December 22, 2012, 03:35:27 AM »
For some weeks ago i made a token by clicking the break number 2 in my rounds schedule, and added some html code for showing that the players should stack their lowest value of chips in front of them so the floor manager could easily go around a do the chip-up.

The week after that i run the tournament and there was no token.
I might have loaded a different rounds schedule, or made any other changes, but now i cant find the token any more.

I want a cell that shows whats coming AFTER this round (ex 3), so if there is a break comming it says BREAK, if its next round comming it will say ROUND 4
I'm not sure why i "hard coded" this by making so many conditions before, i have conditions set like this now:

Standard condition="" Cell=<round offset="1">
Before break 1 condition="round number = 3" Cell=<break valueIfRound="1">
During break 1 condition="break number=1" Cell=<round offset="+1">

Before break 2 condition="round number = 7" Cell=<break valueIfRound="2">
During break 2 condition="break number=2" Cell=<round offset="+1">

Before break 3 condition="round number = 12" Cell=<break valueIfRound="3">
During break 3 condition="break number=3" Cell=<round offset="+1">

This "hardcoded" way gives me trouble when loading another round schedule where the breaks may be comming after round 4, 8 and 14.

Was hoping to have only 3 conditions set for that cell:

Standard condition="" Cell=<round offset="1">
Before break condition="?" Cell=<break valueIfRound="1">
During break condition="?" Cell=<round offset="+1">

So that no matter what round the break comes after the cell will work.

I'm not sitting at the computer so I have no chance of testing right now.
But does someone know how to set the condition for a cell to know that next level will be brake 1, brake 2 or brake 3?

Today I have conditions that knows that after level 3 comes break 1 and after level 7 comes break 2 and so on.

But lately I've been forced to run different round schedule there maby break 2 have to come after level 8. So this messes my layout up.

Running a tournament tomorrow so I was hoping for a quick fix.

Beta Testing / 3.2 beta testing?

Don't know if or how you go about with betatesting of the upcoming 3.2, but as a webdesigner I'm really interested in trying out the new HTML based layout editor when the time is right for some alfa/beta tests.

Sounds great that true HTML layout is coming, cant wait for 3.2.

I guess layouts is going to be able to be much more flexible in future.

Rewriting the software to this new HTML must be a BIG task for Corey, hope things go smooth so the new 3.2 will arrive in some near future.

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Center align a row or collumn

Is there possible to align a row or column to the center of the screen (horizontal) without having to set width to empty columns on the side of the ones you want centered?

i have width set to 2 of the rows inside the red rectangle, and i want these to be centered on screen no matter what resolution.

Is this possible with some HTML-Styles maybe?

Help Me / Re: remote control
« on: November 21, 2012, 04:53:48 AM »
I've found an solution that works great for me.
After some work i managed to get a remotecontrol to work for my android phone and google nexus 7.

It works using OpenRemote and
MCE Controller

Nexus 7 image here

GalaxyS2 image here

Openremote seems to work for IOS to.

So after the setup i now can remote manage most of the actions during the tournament.

The bustout and rebuy can be a bit hard to manage if many players, because you have to use TAB to navigate. but on an android device it's not hard to multitask to a remote touchpad app and then back again.

Think i had a similar problem once, think it was solved by removing old cache or something, but maybe it was some thing else..

Wow, this overall score formula is some thing that i would like to use to show the starting chip stack for my yearly final table.

In our small poker serie at work we run 10-12 tournaments in a year and then we have a final table in the winter.

The top 10 players will there fight for the extra big pot (10% from every tournament)

The starting stack for these 10 players is set from a % from your score from the earlier tournaments. (yes the starting stacks can and will vary a lot from 1 place to 10 place)

I'm using a spreadsheet today to calculate the startingstack, but it would be great to have this numbers calculated during the whole season and shown in the overall score column if some one could make a formula for this then i would be a very happy man.
