Beta Testing / Stat screen Bug
« on: July 25, 2006, 10:39:30 AM »
Something small, but I'd like to know if this is the same for everyone else.

1) I installed 2.2 into a new folder, then imported the player DB, and imported my current league and season.  When I tried to refresh the stats page, all the tournaments were filtered, but none of the players were filtered.  After playing with the filters for a bit, I finally opened an old tournament and found out that none of the players in the old tournament were listed as being in the database, even though I had imported the database from the last version.  Was this expected?

To remedy this easily, I uninstalled 2.2, created a copied folder of 2.1.2 and installed 2.2 over 2.1.2.  That retained my DB, settings, etc.

2) When I move the column tabs around by clicking and dragging them, a red "X" appears like there's a missing image.

Help Me / Re: Points only bounties

Hmmm . . . I think you're right.  I don't think there's an easy way to do what you'd like to.  Maybe Cory can link the "Bounty on player" under the price tab to the "Bounties Won" stat on the stat page.  I'm actually a little surprised it doesn't already, but they are separate options.

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Re: Displaying Rankings on Main Page

Sure.  There's a display token called "Rankings" you can use for that.  Just create a blank display cell, click the "Insert Token" button, and find "rankings" on the list.

Well, the easiest way to do that is under the prize tab.  You can set up a specific bounty on a specific player for a award of points.

Help Me / Re: late or missed bounty chip purchases

I think all you have to do is go to the player's tab and double click the player who you missed.  In the screen that now comes up, in the bottom part labeled "Tournament History" double click on the line that says "Initial buyin."  From there, set the bounty amount from $0 to the amount of the cost of the bounty chip.  I believe this will work, but we don't use bounties so I haven't tried yet.

I don't believe you can use a formula for starting chip amounts, and even if you could, I'm sure the program's not set up to read the stats page for it.  The only option really available for you is to set each of their chip amounts at the buyin window.

Help Me / Re: When the blinds change so does the screen
« on: July 18, 2006, 09:27:32 AM »
When you say "changing," how exactly do you mean?  What's changing exactly?  Does it change back during odd numbered rounds?  There are options in each display cell to change what it displays from odd rounds to even rounds.

Help Me / Re: duplicate players

Hmm . . . you might have to go through each of your tournaments and change the player from that player's copy to the original player.  I don't think there's a way to do this automatically.

Suggestions / Re: Filtering tournaments
« on: June 22, 2006, 08:55:47 AM »
If I set up a league, can I assign tournaments already played into the league?

I'm pretty sure you can; you'll just have to open the original tournament file, change the settings under the "Game" tab, and resave the file.

So odd . . . how about the tournament that loads from the start?  Do you have one or is it blank?

Well, here's just a random guess, but under the "Preference" tab, what's listed as your Tournament File Location?  It's the option at the bottom of the screen.

Help Me / Re: Tables
« on: June 13, 2006, 10:11:33 AM »
If I'm understanding you correctly, and I'm not sure I do, when you create the tables you need to tell the program each table only has 7 seats instead of 10.  The program will combine the group at the first chance it gets.

I personally just keep track of everything myself, using MSExcel to aid me in that.  Then, I just post all the results on our leage's own website ( www.oregonpokertour.com ).

I've never really thought about using these sites: are they really that much more useful?

Help Me / Re: prizes

All you need to do is change the name of the prize under the "Prizes" tab.  There's an option called "Display" and it controls what's shows up on your display.

Help Me / Re: Tournament Process
« on: May 25, 2006, 10:08:56 AM »
If I understand what you are asking; either way is a format for doing a tournament.  Normal tournaments are to move players as others get busted out, but a "Shootout" tournament is when you have all the tables play down to one player and then have those five players play.  If you want to run your tournament in that format, all you need to do is go into the TD program and under the "Tables" tab, there is a "Settings" button.  Then, unckeck the option that says "Automatically suggest player movement."

That . . . or, all you really have to do when the suggested movement window pops up is hit "Don't move players," but if you'd rather not deal with that, you can turn that off.

Either way is just fine to run a tournament.
