General Discussion / Re: Follow My Tourney Using Status Updates Feature
« on: September 05, 2012, 12:27:37 AM »
Yes the tourney ended around 12:15am. Those stats are correct. Everything worked great. I know we are limited on what gets reported at the moment, but I think the following items are what people viewing the live updates would most want to see.

In no particular order:

1. Who has busted out
2. Who is still in
3. Who did a rebuy/addon
4. Prize/bounty winnings
5. points earned (not sure if this one is possible)
6. Time of bustout
7. Hitman
8. Tourney title/name

I'm sure there are more but that is all I can think of at the moment.

Hi All,

I will be hosting my monthly tourney tomorrow night, Tuesday September 4 at 6:30pm ET. I will be using the Status Update feature in TD. You can follow the status of the tourney via my website. I made some changes to the default page Corey created to work better with my tourney. I also removed the option to let users change how often the page upates, I set it to 30 seconds. Take a look and follow along, let me know how it goes and if you like it. Right now we are limited on what items are updateable.

Click on the 'Live Tourney Updates' at the top of the page.

Thanks,

I got it working pretty easy. One of the items I think most people would like to see being updated is the rankings along with total winnings.

I have changed the look/layout to fit my site.

Thanks!

You could also use the Poker Chip Factory Tool on ChipTalk.net

General Discussion / Re: Keeping league info online
« on: January 20, 2012, 11:44:04 PM »
I have my own web server so I created a simple website. You can see past results, league standing, and other info. I actually run 3 leagues, two of which are online leagues (NRV and ChipTalk.net) , and one is a llive league (Blue Ridge).I'm hoping some progress is made on the Status Updates feature in TD so I can start using that live during tourneys.

Beta Testing / Re: Realtime updates

For me it would work best if TD would update a database file (MS Access) which then TD would automatically upload via FTP to my webserver. From that point it would be easy to creat an ASP page that query the MS Access database.

Just as an FYI, I have been using XML Notepad 2007, a free download from Microsoft. Works great.

Suggestions / Summary Tab and Rakes
« on: December 29, 2011, 01:04:17 PM »
It would be nice if on the summary page each Rake was listed with the total. I know that each category (Buyin, Rebuy, Fixed) has a total listed. For the buyin rake I have 2 sub-rakes (Dealer, League), same for Rebuys, I would like to see the total Dealer Rake for buyins and the total league rake for buyins listed separately, same for rebuys.

This way I can look at the summary tab and know how much money goes to the dealers and how much to hold out for the league. I know I can see a total on the stats tab, just thought it would be nice to have on the tourney summary tab.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks,

Chuck

Suggestions / Re: Keep Track Of Dealer Hours And Pay
« on: December 23, 2011, 09:06:17 PM »
I hear ya Jody, but the software already figures payouts for players, I think it would be easy to add dealer pay to the software. I do currently use an excel spreadsheet but would be easier if it was all in one program. Just thought it would be a good suggestion as an added feature.

Suggestions / Keep Track Of Dealer Hours And Pay
« on: December 17, 2011, 09:15:30 AM »
It might be nice to have a way to "Clock In" and "Clock Out" dealers to keep track of their hours. Maybe when tables are combined give the option to clock out a dealer. We rake $10 from each buyin and $5 from each rebuy to pay the dealers. They then divide up the money based on how many hours they worked. Maybe also be able to assign that rake to dealer pay?

I'm starting to really get into customizing the TD and came up with a few suggestions.

I would like to see the following attributes added to the Rankings token:

rotate=
rotateMax=
rotateDelay=

It would also be nice to split Ending of Rounds and Ending of Breaks into 2 different events. Reason is I don't want to use sounds at the end of breaks or I want to use a different sound for the end of breaks.

If I'm just missing on how to do this then I appologize.
