Typically, theres a two key combination: the FN key and another that has an icon of a screen or monitor above the usual text on the key. This is also usually in blue. The color and placement varies from laptop to laptop. You typically have three modes: laptop only, laptop and external, external only. When you press the FN and the other key, it will go to the next mode.

Anyone have a "Shuffle Up and Deal" sound file?

Here's the best I could come up with. I cropped these from a much longer recording.

Maybe in the Next Version a Mass E-Mail feature so that you can let everyone in your tournament know when the next ones starting etc in one e-mail.

-dreilly-

I use a free service called Evite.com to handle my tournament scheduling and RSVP's. I could tell you all about it, but here's a link to a dummy tournament instead, so you can see for yourself.

In addtion to a self-register link like that, you can also send out email invitations so that players would already be listed, and they would just update their status. I've been using it for about a year and a half, it's great for this sort of thing.

I can agree with this one! I was telling my players how there were some interesting sound for player bustouts, but then the first three hits, as well as the 5th, 8th, and 9th were the same sound. That's 6 out of 9 times it played the same sound, when I had about 15 sounds in the hopper.

Help Me / Re: Points not awarded correctly, despite test results.

Ah! Indeed I do have 1 point assigned in the hit field. I did not realize that the hit field was independent & in addition to the formula.

Thanks for your rapid reply, Corey!

Help Me / Points not awarded correctly, despite test results.
« on: April 10, 2006, 07:54:43 AM »
My first tounament over the weekend resulted in the Winner recieving 48 points. However, he should have only recieved 41. When I enter his position and the number of hits he recieved, it caculates correctly. However, on the summary page, the stats, and the export to StatsGenie, it awarded him 48 points. I do not have any points on the prizes except for 1 extra point for the bounty (which he did not get).

My formula is

(n)-(r)+1+(nh)+max(6-(r),0)

29 players, + 5 points for 1st, plus 7 points for hits = 41. Where's the extra 7 points coming from?

It may have been 9x2, Satuday was hectic, so I didn't exactly take notes. ;)

Thanks for the info!

I hosted my first tourney on the new software yesterday. 29 players across 4 tables of 8 seats. I don't think the tables on the screen were ever correct. At one point, it said 10x1, 9x2. At another it said 10x1, 8x1.

As we had no other problems, and the seat changes were handled appropriately, I'm not sure why this was messed up.

Looks like run-of-the-mill unordered list. Provided he doesn't post his actual code, this should work for you:

First rule here

Second rule here

Third rule here

etc..etc..

If you want your rules numbered instead of bullets, you can replace

and

with

and

It's not heavily modified from the original, but matches our logo/color scheme.

I'm not sure what you're smoking, but I want some.

But you've got to admit, he's got some balls to tell the developer that he's wrong! ;)

General Discussion / Re: Getting a formula correct
« on: March 13, 2006, 03:22:55 PM »
Try the following:

max(17-(r), 0)

This should provide the higher of the two variables, either 17 minus rank, or 0.

For 1st place, 17-1= 16 points
for 2nd place, 17-2= 15 points
for 3rd place, 17-3= 14 points
...
...
for 16th place, 17-16= 1 point
for 17th place, 17-17= 0 points
for 18th place, 17-18= -1, in which the equation will award 0 points instead because 0 is greater than -1.
...
...
for 48th place, 17-48= -31, in which the equation will award 0 points instead because 0 is greater than -31.

This should work for what you need.
