<i-frame> needs to point to html files, right? or can it point elsewhere?

Help Me / Rankings Screen
« on: January 16, 2012, 10:34:10 PM »
** Disclaimer ** I am putting on my dunce hat....

I had my layout set up where (thanks to Corey) I had a scroll bar where I could scroll the rankings.... Timmer helped me with creating a layout, however, I just noticed that it only displays 1-20. I run a tournament where everyone gets a point for showing up, and yes I know I can export to html to suit my needs, but I often get asked during the tournament how many hits they have so far....

SO.... how do I get the scroll bar to appear again? I know it's w/html coding... but still.... Don't remember how..... ??????

Suggestions / Is this possible?
« on: December 28, 2011, 12:41:57 AM »
Not sure if it's possible or not, but if not, I would like to offer it up as a suggestion.

I know that TD will show when player movement screen when a balance is performed. What I'm wondering...

  • Is it possible with TD3 p11 for it to show when a drag and drop movement has been made? (and how so, if it is)
  • If not, who all would be interested to see something like this implemented?
  • Would it be possible to see something like this be implemented?

Beta Testing / Not a huge deal to me, but...
« on: November 21, 2011, 09:03:55 PM »
But I have a rounds template that I always use set up as C:\Users\Mike\Documents\The Tournament Director 2\Data\saves\MikeRounds.trt as the path to the file, and the config file points to that same exact file (I know cause I copied the C:\Users\Mike\Documents\The Tournament Director 2\Data\saves part and typed it the MikeRounds.trt part).

However, it just won't take for me. As the subject shows, not a huge deal to me - I can always load file... Just an inconvenience.

Beta Testing / 3.0.9 Player Movement Issue
« on: November 21, 2011, 10:45:57 AM »
Corey - I presently have my preferences set to pause the clock once the movement is accepted. I'm presently in the process of loading in a tournament that TD wasn't used for (it wasn't my turn to host). I'm declining the movements until a table collapses, but the clock still pauses.

Additional Info: Taking a closer look, it's pausing as the player movement dialogue opens - or at least a split second prior to the dialogue showing on the screen.

Suggestions / Hotkey Import
« on: October 31, 2011, 04:18:33 PM »
Hey Corey, would it be possible to add an 'Import Hotkey' button for hotkeys? I see the Export Hotkey as an option, but not the Import (unless I'm blind?)

Help Me / Cell Spacing
« on: September 07, 2011, 03:59:24 PM »
Ok, I'm sure this may have been asked, but a search hasn't turned up anything to help...

I have a screen that I use during the Pre-tourney stage, where it shows the seating as a diagram, as well as a countdown to 5 minutes prior (using HM look). However, with the countdown timer, the seating diagram moves since the timer is running (i.e. from 10 sec to 9 sec or 1h 0m 0s to 59m 59s). I believe I remember that there was a way to "hardwire" cells to be a set height and width, but cannot remember how to do it. Ideally, I would have my <clock> be set so that the hour(s), minutes, and seconds remaining would each be on their own line within the cell... But, I'm having a brain fart here!

Thanks for any help! :)

Beta Testing / Latest beta, countdown
« on: August 10, 2011, 12:14:39 PM »
Last night, I used the countdown feature for first time. I counted down to a specific time to keep me on track of when to start. However, when I brought up the settings window, it flashed between the timer and paused. The timer was running, however. Wasnt running any other programs, Win7 OS.

I am going to try to run a moch tourney before I go on vacation, but cannot be sure I will have time. If I do, I will report back w/results here.

Beta Testing / 2.6.b5 Potential Bug with Stats
« on: June 11, 2011, 07:27:00 PM »
Hey Corey,

Not too sure if it's something I'm doing or not, but I've tried a few times to make it right. We just ended a season, and I moved the files for my tournaments from <C:\Users\Mike\Documents\The Tournament Director 2\Data\saves> to <C:\Users\Mike\Desktop\TD Archive Folder>

I've updated the filter for it to search only in the new location, to include scanning of the sub-folders, but all it does is find the five tournaments from the first location. Just so we're all on the same page (hopefully), here's the steps that I did.

  • Moved the files from the data\saves folder to the archive folder
  • Went to the stats tab and clicked on edit profiles.
  • Clicked on Winter2011 (since that was what I named the season in TD).
  • From the 'sources' section, clicked on edit, removed the original source, and added the new location, ensuring sub-folders was checked.
  • Clicked OK until I got back to the stats tab, and refreshed the tabs. Seen the screen where it says 'Found 5 tournament files'

Is there some simple step that I'm missing?

Suggestions / Player Database Filter?
« on: March 26, 2011, 07:36:42 PM »
Would it be possible to add function to filter players, instead of just searching by name?

What I do is I use the notes to track who's not played for the last couple of seasons, and if feasible, would like to export a portion of the database for export to CSV.

Beta Testing / 2.6.b4 Froze
« on: February 22, 2011, 02:42:40 PM »
I'm 99% sure this was not due to TD, but still something I thought to pass along to everyone else.

While running b4 in windowed mode, I switched to a screen that references an Excel  htm file. I was updating the file (a points sheet, and we don't have internet at the location), saved it and left it open, then went back to TD. I went from sheet 1 to sheet 2, and it froze.

I did something similar, but with the file closed, and it worked perfectly, so I believe it's because I had the file open still - I was updating how the file looked.

Again, I'm 99% sure it was due to the file being open and not TD.

Suggestions / Screen Order
« on: February 10, 2011, 10:27:27 PM »
Corey, I don't know if this has always been, or if this is something with 2.6.b4, but when I create a new screen, it seeems to be placed in between the others that I've made. With having buttons as part of my layout, it can make it be a bit tedious to reconfigure. So what I'm wondering is how easy/difficult it would be to make it be so that the main screen is '1', and each newly made screen is the next available number instead of being in the middle?

To explain, I started off with just the main screen (screen 1). I eventually made a "pre-tourney" screen (screen 2 initially), and configured that to my liking. Next, I made a screen for the points earned for the tourney in progress. But that became screen two, and pushed my pre-tourney into screen 3. Just now, I made a screen to link with to show up-to-date points entering the tourney, which now became 3 and now pre-tourney is screen 4.

If this doesn't make sense, let me know, and I'll try a different way of explaining.

General Discussion / Super Bowl
« on: February 06, 2011, 10:41:19 PM »
I wish everyone could see the scene in downtown Green Bay Wisconsin right now.... Very enthusiastic crowd, but a smart one (thankfully). For those that watched and don't know, Donald Driver is ok. Charles Woodson broke his collar bone. Didn't hear about the other.  Crowd isn't rioting, but great to see the Lombardi trophy come back to its origins.

Was well played by both teams, but must say the refs definitely let the teams play, for the most part - I saw countless holds, pass interference, and illegal blocks that weren't called by both teams.  For anyone out partying, PLEASE stay safe!

Help Me / I know this is probably easy, but...
« on: January 27, 2011, 01:59:33 PM »
But is there a way, using <marquee> to get the looping effect to stop?  I've tried with the loop argument not entered it, with loop="0", and with loop=0.

I know it's something that I'm not doing right, but can't figure it out for the life of me  ?????????
