With Show Empty Tables unchecked the Seating Chart screen shows all tables including empty ones.

No, we have a special table in our club just for the final table. I use a table image (an arial image of my final table). Thought it would be nice to have it automated. OH, I do use the collapse order feature and it does work, however when I display the seating chart (showing my table image) it displays the other 2 tables that the players were seated at previously. If I am not paying full attention to my game window I walk away from the computer not realizing the screens are showing 2 empty tables and one full. I look a bit disorganized when this happens and the players that look for reasons to laugh at me have one (I then give them a 90 minute penalty hehe).

Can an option be put into TD for a final table. A table name can be given to TD (example: Final Table) and when we reach the number of players required for a final table TD would move create the new table, move all players to that table and close all other tables *Undo button would still be available.

General Discussion / Long hand
« on: November 06, 2012, 11:28:45 PM »
Everybody's input is welcomed here, including Corey.
When a hand takes too long other players may call time to force action. Larger tournaments usually start the breaks with the timer on pause until all hands have been completed to ensure all players get their break. When players enter a hand as the break starts and all players but 2 leave the table and take forever, what would you do?
After 6 years of being a Tournament Director I encountered this for the first time last week and started wondering how to take care of this issue. I thought about enforcing a time limit in which the clock stays on pause (example ; after 5 minutes the clock is resumed), but then I had to chuck out that thought because that very break in which this hand took forever was a color up break.
Suggestions on how to treat this rare situation???

Corey, if you could put like buttons on here I would have hit it 8 times for your comment about W8 not seeing the light of day.

Like I said, a minor thing. Instead of creating a tournament in 10 seconds (without players) it takes me 15 seconds while I remove players. I was just wondering if it was a bug. No need for a preference there

Hi Corey,
This is a minor thing but when I create a new tournament and use another tournament as a template TD also imports the players that played in that tournament I used. Is this behavior intentional?

No points are awarded when using the comma 0 (I copied/pasted)

I just modified the formula as per an earlier post to this
if (RoundOut>4),10 * (sqrt(n)/sqrt(r*0.1)) * (2+log(bc+0.75))
with the same results. All players get points regardless of when they are eliminated

I want to use this formula
if (ro>4),10 * (sqrt(n)/sqrt(r*0.1)) * (2+log(bc+0.75))

This should produce points for all players that are eliminated after round 4. However all players are getting points. Where is the error?

If you were able to implement a system where once the tournament is completed (Game Over) TD writes automatically to the file of each player in the tournament and would use the formula x=x+1. You wouldn't have to run anything extra from within TD. If a player is not in the DB it TD would ignore it.
An issue I can see is if I have to open a completed tournament to merge a player into the DB. TD would not write to the players file. It would have to be the moment it entered the Game Over state. If merging a player or adding a player after the tourney is completed it would use the x=x+1 for the player only.

And maybe add the date of the last tournament played to the info too
