Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Various Layouts
« on: March 28, 2010, 01:15:19 AM »
Hi all, I have posted a few of my layouts on my personal web page (one of them was too big to post here, over 10MB with the video files). My Christmas layout (incredible animation), my Halloween layout (great sounds) and my NHL Playoffs (great everything). As I create newer ones, I will continue to post them on my own site. Feel free to download and use them!
They all come with their own fonts that have to be installed for the full effect. Simply extract into your templates folder then load up both the .tst and .tlo and enjoy
http://www.jodystacey.com then click on TD Layouts!!!

e-mail me for ideas you might like to see for a layout!

Help Me / Re: Transfer TD image to tv screen
« on: March 22, 2010, 01:01:56 AM »
The first thing we can try is right click on the game window and select Auto Size screen. If this does not settle the issue, try this...
Find the resolution of your extended display, then on the preferences tab, click on Extended Display on the left hand side. On the dialog box that opens up, under the extended display enter the resolution and click OK. If your display is already on the extended display, move it to the main display and then back to the extended display. If the cells are still not showing up, right click on the game window and select Auto Size Screen then OK. This should resize all your cells. If you are using a layout you created, you may have to either change the cells manually (sizes) or, the easier way, would be to change the resolution of your extended display. If you choose to change the resolution, don't forget to change the resolution of that display through the Extended Display button on the Preferences tab.
Good Luck

General Discussion / Bad Beat
« on: March 22, 2010, 12:24:12 AM »
Just felt like sharing a bad beat story out of my club,
The house removes $1 from every pot for a progressive jackpot and divides it amongst the players involved in a bad beat hand and the players at the table the time it comes out.
Our rules, A player must lose a hand holding Aces full of Kings or better. Both winning player and losing player must also use both their pocket cards.
This hand was all0in on the flop
Player A - 5 spades and 6 spades
Player B - Pocket 9s

Flop;
7 spades
8 spades
9 spades
Turn;
9 (now straight flush over quads, qualifies for bad beat)
River;
10 spades
The straight flush holder now only uses one of his pocket cards, nullifying the bad beat.
The pool was $42,000 at the time of the hand.
The real bad beat was losing the jackpot!!!

Help Me / Screens
« on: March 15, 2010, 03:14:59 AM »
I have 5 different screens with a different video embedded in each screen. I want TD2 to choose at random (all are 69 seconds before the start of tourney) one of the 5. How can I do this?

If you have adobe flash, you have much more flexibility embedding a flash animation into your layout.

Suggestions / Displaying Prizes
« on: March 08, 2010, 10:54:18 PM »
Would it too much work for TD2 to automatically display 'groups' of prizes instead of displaying them all individually? I had 18 spots paid in my tourney twice in the last 3 weeks, and 18th, 17th and 16th were all the same prize. 15th and 14th were identical.
The display would look something like this:
14th-15th: $170  16th-18th: $150

Beta Testing / Re: Error 2.6
« on: March 01, 2010, 03:57:12 PM »
the "Allow Find..." checkbox was unchecked. I checked it, restarted TD and got same results. Unchecked, restarted and still got same error message. By the way, if it isn't too late, an undo/redo button on the layout tab could come in handy...Drag and drop with cells from the toolbox to the rows/columns too.

Help Me / Re: extended display and asus a6u
« on: February 25, 2010, 08:00:06 AM »
I have the same issue on my asus laptop. however, when i go into the display properties (right clicking on the desktop) and go to the settings tab, by switching the displays (1 and 2) from one side to the other, the game window appears on my extended display. Not sure why, but a few extra seconds of work and it appears.
good luck

I have included the last save of my tournament. The <evenchop> is in only one layout, white background.

I have now awarded 5 of my 9 prizes. The even chop is giving me the split for the entire prize pool and not removing the prizes already awarded. The <prizemoneyleft> token is also showing the complete prize pool after I have awarded several prizes.
