Beta Testing / Layout Conditions
« on: April 24, 2010, 05:18:11 PM »
I have made some modifications for a workaround (because the tourneys I am designing my layout for do not use add-ons), but I have a request for a new item for the Conditions property set.
When my blinds increase to 5 digits (10,000+) the cells do not fit properly on the screen and I have to decrease the font size so everything displays properly. A Conditions where "Blinds Over XXX Amount" would allow for a change in anything needed (including font size).

I may have seen this in the forums, but a quick search turns up nothing,
Is it possible to have an optionj under the preferences tab>Config Files to allow for a default Layout (similar to default tournament?

Next issue...
The screen set conditions are not fully working...I have set a screen to fire with <62 seconds during countdown, no show (this screen does work in 2.5). I also programmed a screen to fire with <53 seconds during break #1, this screen also doesn't fire.
I have also come across an issue with Tracking Players mode. I set TD2 to simple mode and it always returns to Tracking Mode when I restart the software.
You can download my layout (modified) at and click on TD Layouts. The layout in question is
Thanks Corey

I need a bit of help..
I am trying to have a specific screen display with <54 seconds in my first break. I selected the "Break" radio button and entered "1" for the break number and also set the seconds to <54.
All of my normal rounds are displaying my 'break' screen at <54 seconds.

The full layout is available here...
NHL layout (it's a huge file)
Also, the break number I designated does not produce the screen I wanted

Help Me / Re: Switching from two monitors back to one

First, try checking your display properties in the windows control properties and make sure windows has the extended display greyed out (right click on the second monitor and uncheck 'attached').
This should do the trick

Suggestions / Re: Run TD Software from website or FTP, etc.

I placed all the TD files on my personal web server (Server 2003) and successfully hooked up to it using VPN with two machines and was able to writes to the DB with both, however, this was across my LAN and wasn't successful across the internet. Note...I did not play around with this idea for long, there may have been a firewall issue that I didn't notice or my router may have been blocking it.

Hi all, I have posted a few of my layouts on my personal web page (one of them was too big to post here, over 10MB with the video files). My Christmas layout (incredible animation), my Halloween layout (great sounds) and my NHL Playoffs (great everything). As I create newer ones, I will continue to post them on my own site. Feel free to download and use them!
They all come with their own fonts that have to be installed for the full effect. Simply extract into your templates folder then load up both the .tst and .tlo and enjoy then click on TD Layouts!!!

e-mail me for ideas you might like to see for a layout!

Help Me / Re: Transfer TD image to tv screen

The first thing we can try is right click on the game window and select Auto Size screen. If this does not settle the issue, try this...
Find the resolution of your extended display, then on the preferences tab, click on Extended Display on the left hand side. On the dialog box that opens up, under the extended display enter the resolution and click OK. If your display is already on the extended display, move it to the main display and then back to the extended display. If the cells are still not showing up, right click on the game window and select Auto Size Screen then OK. This should resize all your cells. If you are using a layout you created, you may have to either change the cells manually (sizes) or, the easier way, would be to change the resolution of your extended display. If you choose to change the resolution, don't forget to change the resolution of that display through the Extended Display button on the Preferences tab.
Good Luck

General Discussion / Bad Beat
« on: March 22, 2010, 12:24:12 AM »
Just felt like sharing a bad beat story out of my club,
The house removes $1 from every pot for a progressive jackpot and divides it amongst the players involved in a bad beat hand and the players at the table the time it comes out.
Our rules, A player must lose a hand holding Aces full of Kings or better. Both winning player and losing player must also use both their pocket cards.
This hand was all0in on the flop
Player A - 5 spades and 6 spades
Player B - Pocket 9s

7 spades
8 spades
9 spades
9 (now straight flush over quads, qualifies for bad beat)
10 spades
The straight flush holder now only uses one of his pocket cards, nullifying the bad beat.
The pool was $42,000 at the time of the hand.
The real bad beat was losing the jackpot!!!

Help Me / Screens
« on: March 15, 2010, 03:14:59 AM »
I have 5 different screens with a different video embedded in each screen. I want TD2 to choose at random (all are 69 seconds before the start of tourney) one of the 5. How can I do this?
