Help Me / Re: TD folders in several directories
« on: March 02, 2017, 02:54:25 PM »
Thought I had everything fixed.  I moved everything to the new folder, C:\Users\"MyName"\Documents\The Tournament Director 2.  Then I deleted all the other TD folders for locally and on OneDrive.  I then set the new local TD folder as the active folder in Data Stores.  However, after closing TD and then re-opening, a new OneDrive TD folder was created in c:\Users\"MyName"\OneDrive\Documents\The Tournament Director 2 with only the templates and files installed on a new installation.  In addition, the active directory I created in Data Stores had been deleted and the OneDrive folder was now the active folder.

I think this is how it all got messed up in first place when I tried to fix it once before.

Ugh! I need a drink!

Help Me / TD folders in several directories
« on: March 02, 2017, 11:48:53 AM »
After buying a new laptop a couple years ago, and re-installing TD, my TD file folders are now in several different locations, many are duplicates.  I would like to fix this and have the folders all in one location.  Some template folders are local and some are on OneDrive.  I don't want any TD folders on OneDrive in case I need to run a tournament somewhere where I don't have WiFi.

I just checked my Data Stores setting and I see it is pointed to a folder in OneDrive.  If I change this to the local TD folder location and move all the other templates to the local TD directory, will that fix the problem?

What is the default location when first installing?

Thanks.

Edit:  I moved a TD folder to C:\Users\MyName\Documents\Tournament Director 2.  I then added that to the Date Store locations.  I clicked on properties set the new folder as default.  Is that all I need to do?

Help Me / Re: overscan on TV display
« on: December 31, 2013, 04:55:40 PM »
I am having a similar issue, however is seems to be mostly in the height of the display.  I tried your fix and I can't seem to find a combination of numbers that makes much difference.  My laptop is 1920 x 1080 and TV I am using is 1366 x 768.  The bottom and top of the TV display is missing a small amount of data.

Any suggestions?  Thanks.

I unchecked the "Suppress Windows screensaver" box and had no further issues while running a 8 hour tournament yesterday.

Thanks for the replies.

I had checked "Suppress Windows screensaver" so I unchecked it.  I will be running a tournament on Saturday so I will see how it goes.

Help Me / Keyboard not responding at times
« on: February 22, 2012, 10:07:48 PM »
During the last two tournaments while running TD, I have had an issue where the keys on my keyboard were at times non-responsive while TD was running.  I first noticed it when I could not pause the tournament with the space bar.  Esc didn't work either.  It was like there were two layers in a graphic, and TD was the back layer.

However, if moved the cursor with the mouse pad and input a left click, TD would then respond to keyboard inputs.

Any ideas what's going on?

Help Me / Prize Rounding Error?
« on: November 08, 2011, 10:56:30 AM »
I used ver. 3.0 for the first time this weekend.  When calculating the prizes for a six places, I specified to round down to the nearest $5.  The last place prize was caluculated to be $124.  The summary was correct however and did not reflect that a $1 was omitted.  I have never seen this in ver. 2.

Beta Testing / Re: Screen Flashing when Tournament Starts
« on: March 23, 2011, 12:13:54 PM »
Honestly I was expecting to hear from someone by now as to whether or not this was still an issue, and had assumed that no news was good news.  I began the process of upgrading one of my browsers to IE9 for testing but I've had some unexpected difficulties with the VM I need to use.  I've also had a family emergency this past week which has severely limited my time.  What version of the TD are you using?

I am using the current version, 2.5.11.

Any updates on this issue?  My TD started the flashing this last weekend also.  And yes, I downloaded and installed IE9 which was just published last week.

It seems the flashing may be at one second intervals that sync with the clock.  I can get it to stop by bringing up the menu, clicking one of the tabs and then clicking the Tournament button at the top.  It just randomly starts doing this.  So far, I have been able to get it to stop but it is annoying.

Help Me / Buy In Players To Start
« on: October 06, 2010, 10:37:25 PM »
I want to change the background color of the Buy-In Players to Start pre-game flashing box but I can't figure out where it is.  Any help?

I would like to set a different sound event at the end of a round just before a break.  I saw where Corey added the variable NextisRound, but I can't figure out how to make it work.

The is the string I am using at the end of each round:  (state = 2) && isRound && (secondsLeft = 0).  This triggers the same sound event at the end of every round.  What do I need to change so that I could have a different sound trigger at the end of round just prior to a break?

Thanks!
