Help Me / Bounty Chips
« on: September 29, 2017, 11:46:21 AM »
I ran a game where a player could buy a bounty chip but was not required to do so. A situation arose in regards to the bounty chip.Player 2, a bounty chip holder went all in. Player 3 also a bounty chip holder, called the all in. Player 1 a NON BOUNTY chip holder also called the all in. Player 1 won the hand but did not collect the bounty chip since she didn't buy one. The bounty chip from player 2 was given to player 3 because players 3 hand beat players 2 hand. However, player 2 protested because player 3 did not take him out, player 1 did. He felt he should be able to keep his chip since the bounty is only paid when you are eliminated by another bounty player. I ruled that the bounty chips were in the pot by the "all in" declaration and that player 3 should get players 2 bounty chip. Was I wrong?

General Discussion / Omaha Hi Low
« on: February 26, 2016, 04:43:50 PM »
Need some confirmation on  a ruling I made.

Player 1 had 6 7 Jack Jack         Player 2 had Ace 2 King 8      Player 3 had Ace 3 4 Queen     Player 4 had Ace Ace 3 King     The board was 2  3  4  5  Queen

The ruling was player 1 get 1/2 the pot for high hand. While Players 2, 3 & 4 split 1/2 the pot for low hand. Was this correct?

General Discussion / opening bet
« on: October 01, 2015, 10:00:56 PM »
Two Questions:  I have 5 players A B C D & E. Player A is dealer, place B small blind, Player C is big blind. Blinds are 100 200. Player D wants to start the betting with a raise to 300. Can he do this or must he bet 400 or more if he is raising?

Second question:  Same set up as above. But player D & E  folds. Can player A raise to 300 or must he go to 400 or more if he wants to raise?

Help Me / adding players window runs slow (over a minute)
« on: April 17, 2015, 10:49:37 PM »
Whenever I start a new tournament and want to add player(s) the window takes over a minute to become available. I am running Version 3.3 and have reloaded it but no change in problem. I am using Windows 8.1 IE 10. Any suggestions?.............  updating .... Correction IE 11. I have downloaded ver 3.3 and installed it on top of the current program which is ver 3.3. I have completely uninstalled ver 3.3 and reinstalled it. I have backed up TD3 and restored it. I have backed up TD3 without backing up my database and then restored it. I have backed up just the database files and restored them too. No change in problem. Database has over 400 names so I cut it in half with no change in problem. All other tabs work good. Sometimes the adding players window takes longer than 3 minutes.

Help Me / Export Players Window
« on: July 12, 2013, 01:14:12 PM »
I am currently running TD 3.2.1 IE9 and Win7. When I go to the players tab and try to export players I don't see the buttons at the bottom of the window (print etc) because the window is too long. I know the buttons are there because if I tab in the blind two tabs after # of players brings up the print window and I can print. This is the only window that is too long (big) to see all the buttons. I have tried different resolutions to no avail. Has/is this happening to anybody else?

Help Me / FORMULA HELP
« on: September 12, 2012, 01:09:00 AM »
Trying to give players points according to how they finnish in the tournament and how many hits they made. I am using the formula n- r + 1 + nh. However, when I do stats it looks like the program is also giving the player points for any money won according to the prize list.
I have also looked at the prize configuration file but don't see "points" in the file. I have looked at the prizesuggestion file and the autoprize file in the lib folder and while I see "points" they are all equal to 0. Anybody got a suggestion(s)?

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Sound firing
« on: August 26, 2012, 01:16:34 AM »
Can anybody give me the correct syntax for firing  a sound at 10 seconds left in round 2. The syntax I have tried is (isRound = 2) and (state = 2) and (roundNum = 2) and (secondsLeft = 10). I have used the test conditions and it passes as long as I answer state = 2 isRound = 2 roundNum = 2 and secondsLeft = 10. I am using ver 3.1. I have also moved the event to the top of the list. I can fire the event manually so I believe that the sound file is in the correct directory.  I have also used the syntax (isRound) and (state =2) and (roundNum = 2) and (secondsLeft = 10). But when I use the test conditions I have to put in isRound 2 state 2 secondLeft 10 roundNum 2 for it to be true. Notice that my isRound syntax is just that (isRound). But even with it true it still doesn't fire. My Action settings are "if any other sounds are playing stop them first" .... up late and going nuts! lol
I have also tried both triggers   clock ticks   and level ends  I GOT IT   NEVER MIND SORRY IF SOMEBODY IS LOOKING INTO THIS

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / busting out sound & message
« on: August 03, 2012, 08:03:27 PM »
Can anybody tell me the exact syntax that would belong in the conditions window to fire off a trigger when a particular player (named ALLEN) is busted out. I have tried to follow Timmer post of Nov 1, 2011 and can get the message displayed and the sound to work when I fire event now but not when I bust him out. currently have if = allen in conditions window. Also is the TD softwre case sensitive?
