Suggestions / Re: Player Pics
« on: August 31, 2006, 10:47:25 AM »
Pics aren't that big of a deal to me but.... How about avatar's?  Since this program is somehow based on the Internet Explorer engine, would that be any easier.

I do like how players have a nickname.  It's not only beneficial when you have two or more of the same name, but our group operates a bullitin board just like this and everyone has their own nick name.  Using TTD helps you get to know each other in a live setting if you've never met.

Help Me / Re: Help with Bounties and Tournaments
« on: August 31, 2006, 10:09:15 AM »
That's exactly how we do it.  Last Saturday we had a $50 buy-in tourney with a $5 option to get in the bounty for the player that won the tourney last time.  When you buy-in a player, don't do the quick buy-in, do the "buy-in player" and place your $5 in the rake.  Not every player participates in the bounty so you don't have to put anything in for those that don't buy-in.  I love this feature because I used to keep seperate envelopes for the tourney and the bounty and was always making change between the two and would sometimes make a mistake.

For what it's worth...If the player on the bounty wins again, he gets the bounty money plus the winnings.... If someone puts him out that was not in the bounty pool, the money goes into the main pot.

Help Me / CRASH when rebuying a player
« on: August 21, 2006, 10:16:24 AM »
Saturday I was having a two table tournament, when I went to rebuy a player the TTD crashed.  I got an internet explorer error message that it had to close.  When I restarted, I had to redo everything.... buyin's, seats, etc....  I ended up just buying in only a few players so I could get the clock going and doing my rebuys and bust outs by hand.  (it was only a 16 player tourney)

No other programs were running other than background stuff like mcafee.... It's a two gig a hrz machine with 1gig of ram.

Any thoughts.

Help Me / Best Way to run on two computers
« on: August 10, 2006, 09:07:40 AM »
Hello guys,

I've run an older free version of TD for a while and have just purchased a license and plan to build my own custom screens like I see many of you have.

My question is.....  I've been running TD on my office computer and the home computer.  I run it at work because I will receive email rsvp's to my home game and go ahead and set up the tournament, players, chips, blinds, etc... then email the saved tdt file to the house, load it up and I'm ready to go.

Is there a better way to do this?  Would the backup function allow me to make the two programs look identical?  Also, will the license allow it to be on two computers?

Thanks,
Cleave
