So, an additional column for each place, up to 50?
Well, I don't need that many, but I could see how somebody might.  I personally need 1-25.

Thanks for thinking about it.

I know that I couldn't necessarily display all of them at once, but I could get a nice export of them for stats purposes.

Hi there,

First, I just want to say what a wonderful application this is.  I'm starting my third poker season, and this software has made it all possible.  I know that friends that have left my games have bought this software for their own personal use!

Now to my request.  As it says in the subject line, I would like to see other placings added in to the stats tab.  I have quite a few very large tournaments, some where we have payed out up to 8 places!  It would be great to be able to select more that 1st, 2nd, and 3rd as choices.

Thanks for the consideration!

Sincerely,

Sean Riley

Help Me / Re: Is there a way to change the knockout person?
« on: September 25, 2006, 06:28:37 PM »
You can also edit the player (on the Players tab), and edit the bust-out (double-click or right-click and select "Edit bust-out").  There you can change the hitman.
I needed to be clearer.  I see how you can change the player who busted him out, but what if you want to change the player who busted him first, before he rebought, and then was finally taken out.

We played that you were allowed one rebuy up to my 1st break, AND we used a bounty chip.  Right now my stats are wrong.

Is this situation fixable?  I thought I might go in and just recreate the entire tournament, but it lasted 8+ hours....

EDIT:  Nevermind... I finally found it.  In the players tab, I just got to the player name and hit edit.  Then in the history at the bottom, I was able to right click on the specific instance and change the hit man.   BRILLIANT!!!

Thanks so much for making this THE BEST POKER TOURNAMENT SOFTWARE OUT THERE!!!!!  KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND THANKS FOR THE HELP.

Final step for those who read this, after you make your change, go to the first tab (I think it is the game tab??) and save the tournament, the go to stats to refresh the tournaments, and the change is then shown.

Thanks for leading me in the right direction.

I mistakenly checked the wrong person for the hit-man.  Is there a way to fix this so that my statistics read the correct person?

You can do it manually at the Buy-in window.  There's a place for "Chips received."

And ya know . . . most tournaments do start with the same number of chips ;)  I would think that there's not many tournaments that do something like you are.
Good, I thought I looked there.

Yeah, all of our tournaments have the same number of chips except the last one.  We allow players to pay extra into a kitty that will be used for the final tournament, a tournament of champions is what we call it.

IF you pay the extra, you get points for that game.  Well, we had a few guys figure that if they did well in one or two tournaments, they didn't need to get points in a small tournament; so they didn't pay.

I've changed the rule so that in the end game, your chips and starting seat will be based on your point standing.  We usually play with 1,500.  But in the final, the last player in points will get 1,000, and each seat above him will get 100 more than the next guy.  We are taking anyone who won a tournament (and paid the extra to the kitty) and the top 9 point players.

I figure we will have 10 or 11 players at the end, and the bottom guy will have 1,000 in chips, the top guy 1,900 or 2,000.  The effects are immediate, now every point counts for something, and everyone is paying into the kitty at each tournament for the right to accumulate points.

General Discussion / Re: Rebuy's
« on: April 28, 2006, 05:48:47 PM »
I don't see an option for what we do....

We have a monthly tournament, T1500, with one re-buy in the first three rounds.  IF someone re-buys, then I allow add-ons, if and only if, you are under 1500 chips, and if you can buy chips in multiples of $5 dollar increments and not go over 1500 in chips.  This way, if someone re-buys (usually twice a tournament), then we allow everyone the option of adding on right then and there, if they qualify for chips at all.

For example, if we play for $25 buy-in and re-buy, your add-on of $5 gets you 300 in chips.  You can add-on as many chips in increments of 300, as long as you don't excede 1500.  This is set so that you can't buy more chips than a player who has re-bought, and so that you are at a disadvantage to a player who has re-bought.

Help Me / Re: Is there a way to set a variable starting chip amount?

I have tried a lot of things, but I can't seem to figure it out.  There should be a way to do this.  Not all tournaments start with the same number of chips.

I have a tournament coming up where the players will have a variable amount of chips when the tournament starts.  Is there a way to set up TD so that I can set these values, and set them to an individual player?

This is the season ender, we played for points all year, and based on your standings, that sets your starting value for chips!
