I have, over the past 2 seasons, always informed my players (who don't quite know tournament play) about certain things you can and/or cannot do during the course of a hand or tournament. Also, I have had players come to me saying that they might have caught others cheating (i.e. folding (talking softly) a hand and pushing it away from them a couple inches and getting back in the hand if the flop helps that player's hand when it is thought that no one is looking). Since this is "free" poker (We charge a $2.00 "trophy fund buy-in", as well as the same amount for any re-biys/add-ons), I can't have that going on anyway. Besides, it's pretty sad. Not to mention we are ALL amateurs, but I want to give my players the tournament experience and have fun, but try to weed out the cheaters (which I have, they (2 of them) will not be coming back next year). Therefore, I have come up with my official rulebook. Granted, it might not be exactly like casino rules, but for my league, I think it works out perfect. I have sent a copy to all my members, and am awaiting feedback. If anyone is interested I am posting the word doc on here. It is 18 pages long!
NOTE: when you go to DL the doc, click "YES" to view as a read-only file.
I'd love to hear everyone's feedback!

Looks OK to me,
Just the one on the 15 min away from the table and chips going in the middle.
I don't agree with the chips going in the middle, would rather see the table ban as orbits and not minutes.
If you sent the player away from the table for lets say 3 orbits then that player would lose 3xbb and 3xsb.
I just don't like all the chips going in to 1 pot.
Thinking about it if 2 players on different tables were sent away from the table at the same time for 15 min
1 player might miss 8 hands and the other player might miss 12 hands, not fair realy.
You could emphasise that the dealer must control the table at all times.
Nit picking I know but you done a good job there mate.

Appreciate the feedback...the penalties are there more for a deterrent than anything else, really. I doubt I will have to enforce them at all, as I only have 9-12 players in my league, but I do have some new members joining next season.

I would suggest getting a copy of the Tournament Directors Association rules here: pokertda.com Your set is good. Some things in the TDA rules you didn't cover are covered here or reemphasized as well. I encourage all to check it out and you can get a copy of the rules for free as well. You can also become a certified TD, too.

I have TDA rules, US Poker Assoc. laws of Poker, etc. etc. I always have those to turn to if I absolutely have to. Appreciate the input!

I also make sure all players have read or have a copy of poker etiquette.
Simple things that a lot of players these days don't adhere to and they should.
