General Discussion / Fourteen years...
« on: October 27, 2018, 02:19:36 AM »
I've been using TD for fourteen years...just realized that tonight when my very old laptop finally blue screened and will only boot up in safe mode.  I realized...that I don't have my license key anymore! :P

Thankfully, my computer booted up in safe mode and I was able to get the last 5 of my key to put in for the upgrade to 3 (and save my database and everything else!).  I've never upgraded to 3 because we had everything we needed and TD2 worked perfectly for what our game has become (a once per season thing).

TD has been a part of my recreational life for a very long time.  It's been awesome, and I'm happy to see it's still around :D

Simple enough.  Just pause the tournament, go to the "Rounds" tab, right click on the level you want to go to and select "Set as current round."

Help Me / Re: how do i register and i already have a licencse
« on: March 02, 2007, 01:43:24 PM »
Eh heh...

Yeah...

...well, after you've downloaded the program and installed it, you open the program and click on the button that says "Register."  It's right above the "Exit" button on the first screen you see.  Then, all you have to do is enter the registration code you were emailed.

So...yeah...good luck with that.

Suggestions / Re: New sound effect
« on: February 20, 2007, 05:44:26 PM »
I'll put it on the list.  A beta should hopefully be available in the coming few weeks - depends on how much I try to squeeze into this release.  There are a couple of things I'd really like to do, but given their size/scope, they may have to wait...

It's been a little bit since the last release...I'm very interested to see what you've got coming :)

Suggestions / New sound effect
« on: February 20, 2007, 10:25:24 AM »
Hey everyone; it's been a loooong time since I've visited the forum.

On that note, Cory I don't know when you're planning on another update, but I have a suggestion for a new sound event if it's possible.  I don't know if this has been asked in the past...I tried the search and didn't find anything...

Is it possible to make a separate sound event for when there's a chop?  I have a sound file from Deal or No Deal that I think would be awesome for such a situation.

Anyway, still using/loving the program since it was released in late '05 although not as much since my league kind of...died.

Help Me / Re: Why should I upgrade?

As far as running a heads up tournament; I have on my hard drive tourney brackets for any number of people from 2-32 double elimination style and 33-64 single elimination.  They're all MS Word .docs; you can just print them out and use those for your tourney.  On TD, just make a bunch of 2 person tables and plug the correct matchups in (and in 2.2, you can click and drag players from one table to another so it's easy).

If you or anyone else wants these brackets file (it's a .zip so I can't post it), just email me :)

General Discussion / Re: TD 2 vs TD2.21

It's covered; just download and install it over your copy of 2.0 and you'll be fine.  If you're worried, copy the folder you installed TD 2.0 in, but there shouldn't (and won't) be a problem.

Help Me / Re: Can you export to your own website?

You can export your stats to a straight .html file, which you can then upload directly to your website.

Help Me / Re: Point Bounty?
« on: August 25, 2006, 11:22:08 AM »
Sure is.  You'll have to do it manually under the prize tab.  Just select "Bounty on Player" under the "Recipient" section when creating a new prize, then select "non-monetary" under the Amount section and select the points. :)

I think the newest Beta that just was released like yesterday fixes this . . . which version of the Beta are you using?

Help Me / Re: Can ANYONE give me a formula that works??????
« on: August 08, 2006, 11:37:55 AM »
All I want to do is run a league that gives points from first place to last place for a league that plays 16 games...

Why is it so difficult to get this program to calculate points??

Does anyone know how to make this thing do that....rather than averages????

I am about ready to scrap this program and opt for something simple.....its a shame I like the features but I dont have time sit and wait for days on end to get a something as simple as points awarded to the players that play...

I NEED HELP......PLEEEEEEEAAASSSSEEE.....

My goodness man, calm down.  The program does everything you're asking for.

The easiest way for me to tell what you're having problems with is for you to upload your tournament file to the board so I (and others) can check it.  So, just upload one (or all) of the saved tournament(s) and I'll be happy to figure out what's wrong, because trying to guess from your post is amazingly hard.  It could either be that you haven't properly set up the "Stats" page, that your formulas aren't correct, that you're doing something else that's making the program go nuts, etc.  It could be any number of things really.

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Re: Heads Up
« on: July 31, 2006, 10:32:15 PM »
Well . . . I just set up all of the tables as seating 2 and just went from there.  Turn off the automatic balancing and just condense tables yourself after each round.  As for the blinds, what I did was set up 8 levels for each "round," and ended up with 32 blind levels.

It's doable, but it takes a little work.

Beta Testing / Re: Stat screen Bug
« on: July 29, 2006, 08:52:48 PM »
I ran a real tournament and it ran better than the dummy one I'd run a few days ago.  Of course, it could be because the real tournament had 7 players while the dummy tournament had 45.  I think the other tournament was running slow for me just because the program had too much to load.  *shrugs*  Worked fine otherwise for me so far.

Are you talking about the mini-clock on the top corner of the screen?  Those are options in the preference screen.
