Small bug

This is not in the beta, but in V2.2.2

On the pref tab, where you input the time interval for auto save, the tooltip shows (see options tab) rather than (see Game Tab)

Another odd thing i noticed.  When going back and loading old games, i started to remove the players that were listed but didn't buy-in or play.  When doing this, as soon as you remove them, it updates the prizes.  I didn't notice this at first and saved a few and now need to go back and edit them to make the payouts right.

I had auto prizes turned on when i set up these games, but i edited them before we played to remove one prize.  so now its trying to add that prize in again even though the game is complete and has been saved for weeks.  I guess i could start locking my prizes or just not use the auto prize option but this should be looked into i think.  Once a game is done and completed 100% it should not try to autoset the prizes.  Its not like i removed anyone that was in playing the game reducing the prize pool.  the players i removed were never in the game.

Maybe the best way to handle this is to have TD turn the auto prize system off if you edit the prizes after it has made its suggestion.
If you need any more info to try to reproduce this let me know.  I would be glad to help.

After going back into this tourny and clicking auto again, and turning this off, the screen still says its on till you click to a diff tab and then come back.

And it still says i am only getting 70% of the pool when i am getting 100% now
and it says i am sharing $20.00 of the pot.

I understand what its doing, this is the 1st prize that was set by the auto system, but maybe this should update to reflect what really happened after the tourny.  hmmmm.

For large casino type customers you might have or get i think this might be a bad thing.  They might like to see a locked paper trail sorta system rather than a freely (acidentally) editable report of what happened.  When i change this stuff too, it instantly updates the summary of the tourny so it no longer showed me getting paid 100% but reflected the changes the autosystem made, leaving no trace of a log of what really happened.

Maybe have the lock automatically go on prizes and other important data after a tourny is finished.  And you have to click a check box to unlock it to edit it.  And even then, i think if the tourny is finished, the summary should report the changes made.  So it should of showed the payout of 100% to first, then later showed the edited payout to 70% and 30% leaving a paper trail if you will.  If i didn't know what the payout was before, and was not lucky enough to just remember that (just today) i made a backup of all my games.  (lucky me)  lol.  I could of lost this info and messed up my Stats reports.

Anyway, long and short of it.  If you fear this happening to you, do not use the auto option, or lock all your payouts.

I must admit that I'm pretty confused by your post.  The ability to change the prizes, whether the tournament is over or not, is a feature, not a bug.  The fact that the Status panel on the Prizes tab doesn't properly update when you turn the Automatic Prizes feature OFF is a bug, and I'll fix that for the next release.

The auto-prizes feature only counts players that are bought-in to your tournament.  Removing players from your tournament who are not bought-in should not affect anything.  That means it shouldn't cause the prizes to update automatically, and in my testing, it doesn't.  Are you certain of what you are seeing?

Well i have cooled off over this now.  I was in panic mode when i wrote that post.  I understand how this can be a feature for some, not a bug and i am now aware how to use TD properly and lock prizes so to keep this from happening again to me.  I half agree with the way this is setup, but half disagree, sticking to the thought that once a tourny is done, and has been closed for weeks, it should not auto update prizes when you take out players that did not buy-in.  And even if you do go in and edit prizes manually, i think the summary or a log should maybe note this edit.  But not a biggy man.  That's just my 2 cents worth.  I will lock my prizes now and should not have a prob.

As for does it autoupdate prizes when you take out non buy in players, yes.  I tested again and it did.  I will attach a tourny for you to test it on.  Just open the tourny, you will see it is complete, game over.  Then go to prizes tab, note the payout.  Go back to players tab and click REMOVE PLAYERS button.  Click the CHECK UNPAID ONLY link, then click ok.  Now if you go the the prizes tab you will see that it adds a third prize and changes the pay-out amounts.

In part, this is due to the fact the i edited the automatic suggested prize payout at game start (deleted the 3rd prize) to reflect the wishes of the players to have only 2 payout positions, not the suggested 3.  So when i removed a player later that did not buy-in or play, it triggered another auto prize suggestion.  If you wish to think that this is a bug then sure, fix it.  But the more i think about it, the more i think that this can be prevented by simply locking your prizes once you have made the payouts to the players and wish this to no longer change.

You could also turn the "Automatic Prizes" feature off after the tournament is over.
