custom poker chip imagages
« on: May 25, 2008, 06:08:39 PM »
I have been searching the forms for several hours trying to figure out how to scan in my chips.  I have tried to do it and  all i get is a white square with a small spot of color on the side. I have even tried using the pick on the web sites that sell them. can some one help me out? or if some one has the striped dice set as well could they post the files?

This one? If so, what colours do you need?

That's interesting.

I have scanned chips in the past, and those came out fine.  I think it works better if you can save the scan as a .gif file; .jpeg files always come out with the white background on them.

I have also done some custom chips and used the files that I created in Photoshop.  I saved those as .gif files too, and now I have images of my custom chips as well.  If you have Photoshop, you can also take your scans and work on them that way (it might also be possible to use Photoshop Express as well, which is free, I think...).

Good Luck.

Just FYI, as far as I know, JPEG does not support transparency, GIF does.  I think PNG didn't originally but does now... maybe?

No problem, except for the pink and yellow, I use these myself.

Glad I could help. 8)

Here are some other images you could use. Set the chip size to "75" pixels
