Help Me / Re: Chop a saved tournament?
« on: May 10, 2007, 04:50:07 PM »
Thanks Corey!  Your correct, when we decided to chop, I just busted my buddy out so my name was on top  ;D

I probably will mess with the times a little just so it doesn't look so obvious that I just made the change!

Help Me / Chop a saved tournament?
« on: May 10, 2007, 09:37:08 AM »
Hi -

I read the section in the help regarding chops, but I am not how to chop a saved tournament.  The tournament was last week and I saved it with me taking 1st and my buddy taking 2nd but in reality we agreed to chop it 50/50 due to time.

Is there a way to do this so our stats aren't skewed?

Thanks!

Help Me / New tournament - not part of league
« on: March 09, 2007, 09:25:40 AM »
Hi -

We have about 60 people in our league as we run 1 tourney a month.  I don't want to mess up the point system since there are prizes involved but a few of us like to play single table, single buyin tournaments separate from the multi table rebuy tournaments.

We are having a 7 man "pick up" game tonight and wanted to use TD for the blinds and time etc...  Can I separate this game from the league?  Do I have to create different user names for the pickup games?

Thanks

Thanks, Corey.  You're exactly right.  I am messing up terms.  He was busted out of TD incorrectly early in the tournament but eventually did bust out for real and took 2nd place.

I'll sending it over to you now

Thanks

He never busted out at all.  One of the table facilitators hit X and clicked his name by mistake instead of the actual guy who busted out.

When he finally busted out for real, he took 2nd.

And yes I am speaking about the action summary.  In the action summary, after changing the rankings, the places & payouts are correct but it still lists him as busting out early in the tournament.

Thanks for helping me with this...

Corey, not to be a jerk but please take a look at my original post.

We had a major mistake as a player was busted out of the tournament by mistake and it wasn't noticed until the last 4 people were at the final table.  He ended up taking 2nd place.  By me moving the player in the rankings section took care of the correct payout info but the tournament summary is all out of whack.  When I exported the tournament to HTML, I was able to make the necessary HTML changes to reflect the correct summary.  I post those to our web site and that part is fine.  But when I export the tournament to the StatsGenie, the player still shows as busted out in the summary section.

Can the saved file be modified prior to the import to StatsGenie so that it reflects the correct info?

Sort of.  After I change the players rankings to reflect the mistakenly busted player as placing 2nd, the summary still has him as busted out.  So when I import the tournament into StatsGenie, the summary is incorrect although the final results and payout is correct.

I hope I explained that correctly

Corey -

Thanks for the response.  Usually I import the tournament summary as well so people can see how they did.  Is there a way to do that as well?

Help Me / deleted player

Hi -

I held a tourney a few weeks ago and I have not posted the results due to a major screw up....  During the tournament a player was busted out in TD but he never did bust out.  In fact, he came in 2nd.  According to TD, he was busting out during the 5th round of blinds.  The person in my saved tournament who came in 2nd should be in 3rd and the person in 3rd should be in 4th and so on.....

Is there a way to fix this at all?  Like I said, I haven't posted the results to StatsGenie due to this.

Thanks in advance for any assistance...

Help Me / Moving TD 2.2
« on: January 25, 2007, 10:50:20 AM »
Hi-

I am a licensed user of 2.2 and I have installed on my laptop.  It's a leased machine and it is going back shortly.  I would like to be able to move the database and license to my new computer when it arrives, providing that it is legal to do so.

Is there any documentation on moving the database and/or license?

Thanks

Help Me / Re: Bounty question
« on: December 08, 2006, 09:09:44 AM »

There was a lengthy discussion on who to give hits to.  IMHO, I believe that the bounty should go to the first hitman and here's why:  should you penalize the first hitman simply because the player they knocked out wants to rebuy? A Rebuy is another player, plain and simple. In our tourney, we put bounties on our Points Leader.  If someone knocks them out and the Points Leader rebuys, the bounty goes to the player that first knocked them out.  If I am not mistaken, I believe TD is going to award the bounty to the first Hitman.  You will probably have to manually award the bounty if you want to make it the last hitman.

Thanks for the feedback.  I give everyone a bounty chip at the initial buyin but not at the rebuys.  Now that I am thinking about it, I award a point for a hit whether or not the person rebuys so I guess it make sense to award the bounty chip whether or not they rebuy as well.

I just ran a test and you were right, TD does award the bounty immediatley when someone busts ....doesn't matter if they rebuy.

Does anyone know if there is a cell that can be configured so the layout displays the bounty winners?  In my test tournament even the summary did not indicate who were the bounty winners.

Thanks!

Help Me / Bounty question
« on: December 07, 2006, 11:57:41 AM »
I think I understand how the bounty dialog box works but I needed some clarification on something.  We are starting to use bounties in our monthly tourney and everyone will get one bounty chip when they buy in.  Our normal $30 buyin will now be $35 with $5 going to the bounty pot.  We are a re-buy tournament but I only want to give the bounty chips during the original buyin.  We allow rebuys through level 3.  If a player busts out during the rebuy period and they choose to buy back in, they should not loose their bounty chip to the hitman.  I only want the bounty chips to go to the hitmen when the player is permanently out.

Is this possible with how the bounty dialog box works?

Thanks!
