Title: Not a huge deal to me, but...
Post by: Magic_fubu on November 21, 2011, 09:03:55 PM
But I have a rounds template that I always use set up as C:\Users\Mike\Documents\The Tournament Director 2\Data\saves\MikeRounds.trt as the path to the file, and the config file points to that same exact file (I know cause I copied the C:\Users\Mike\Documents\The Tournament Director 2\Data\saves part and typed it the MikeRounds.trt part).

However, it just won't take for me. As the subject shows, not a huge deal to me - I can always load file... Just an inconvenience.

What do you mean by "it won't take"?

Here's what I'm doing.... If need be, I can record it and show you, in case I'm missing something here.

1. Click on rounds.
2. Switch the 150/300 to 100/200 (due to change a few seasons ago).
3. Click Save Template.
4. Copy file path (as explained initially)
5. Over-write MikeRounds file.
6. Go to preference tab & Click Config File.
7. Paste the path, typing in MikeRounds file (with extension).
8. "OK" out to main screen, and exit program.
9. Restart program, click on rounds, see 150/300.

If you go back to the Config Files, is the path you entered for the rounds template still there/correct?

Yes, it still shows, and with the white background. I altered the extension to see what would happen, and got a red background as a response. Put the proper extension back, and the background reverted back to normal.

Have you got a Default Tournament set in the Config Files?  If you do, your other config file settings won't matter because the default tournament file will have saved with it a rounds configuration, a prizes configuration, etc, etc.

Wow.... I feel like a n00b now.... Thought I had saved the default tourney with the proper rounds.....  Changed the rounds, saved the default tourney, exited, restarted, and Presto! Issue resolved. :o
