TD Online Tournaments
« on: January 30, 2007, 02:30:47 PM »
Corey,
I just want to throw this idea out there.  There are as now 962 members. How about holding online tournaments on a certain poker website, such as pokerstars or absolutepoker, just as a cool way for everyone to play together. I have heard in the past of people holding private tourny's. Just wondered if you had enough "pull" to get it accepted.
                                     Thanks

Corey Cooper

I'll look into this whenever I get some time to do so, I wouldn't mind a little online play.

By the way, now that the new law punishing US banks for doing business with online casinos has gone into effect, how are US players funding their online poker accounts?

Right now I am just using play chips, until everything calms down.

Looks like it is getting pretty difficult.

With the big Neteller crack down it has to have scared the other fund transfer companies.

I think that some folks are using epassporte successfully these days, but don't have any experience with it myself.

There is an article about this in today's Financial Times that I am eager to read but haven't gotten to.

I am giving up for now because I fear losing any deposited funds (but I am pretty conservative in that way)

I live in canada and my netteller still works. Just put in a few dollars into pokerstars just to confirm. The two Netteller execs that got arrested are both from the town I'm in, Calgary, AB. I thought that was ironic.

I am a US player and use Epassport. It still works just fine for me... for both deposits and withdrawls
