General Discussion / Shark Stats open to all
« on: September 30, 2009, 05:42:51 AM »
Hi to all TD users,

It seems we have been hit buy the downturn more than we first thought and as such we will be offering a shark-stats account to everyone FREE of charge. There is still a lot of development still to do but we are happy to release it as is for the time being. The main reason for this is, hopefully the people who use it will donate to the project and we can keep it moving forward.

Due to the nature of the software it is currently only setup for use on our servers. The reason behind this is we are aiming to update and develop the software when possible, so having it in one place makes it much easier to support and develop.

If you are unfamiliar with shark-stats please head over the website and check out the features or download the user manual from www.shark-stats.co.uk/manual.zip

In the future we are looking to provide a self-hosted option; hopefully this will not be to long down the line.

If you would still like an account setup please let me know and we will do the rest.

Regards

Barry

Help Me / Formula help - Easy one I think
« on: September 24, 2008, 09:08:59 AM »
Hi guys we have started a new structure layout for tonight but I just can't seem to get it to work.

I would like for every player 5 points for playing, then for the top final 9 players 5 points for making the table. Then have the following points;

9th = 2
8th = 4
7th = 6
6th = 8
5th = 10
4th = 12
3rd = 14
2nd = 25
1st = 50

I hope that covers everything - any help would be greatly appreciated.  ???

General Discussion / Online League Sofware - Shark Stats now LIVE!
« on: June 10, 2008, 05:10:45 AM »
Hi there guys and gals,

I have been using TD for just over 2 years and I must say it makes the nights that I run that much more easier. The stats that I collect are over a few venues and I have a site that holds all of the leagues etc.

On this site I have a script that I use that show the stats in a graphical way. It allows you to see /use the following

Admin Backend:
Uploading a pre-set CSV from TD to the database
Add/Edit Players details
Add/Remove players Avatars
Add/Edit/Remove leagues
Add/Edit/Remove events

Front End:
Average finishes overall
Finishes per venue
How deep you ran on average
ROI based on buyins / Winnings
Your Nemesis
Compare against other player in the league

The reason I am talking about this is because I am developing a site that will allow users to host their own league results, with the graphical interface. You can see it all working http://www.sussex-poker.co.uk/index.php?categoryid=22 . The graphics of the front and back end are all being changed to take on a web 2.0 look and feel.

If you are interested in this let me know and I will be opening a few free review spots to test when shark-stats.com goes live at the end of June.

let me know if you are interested.

Help Me / Bounty KO but loses points after rebuy?
« on: November 09, 2007, 08:53:35 AM »
Hopefully just a quick question.

Once I have knocked the player out and he rebuys the bounty points are not recored for that hit. (I setup the bounty on the prizes tab). So I have to create a manual prize and use the "Overide" section to award the points.

Is there a way of gettinig it to automatically do this?

Many thanks

Hi,

I have tried to get my head around the forumlas to do the following but with no results

Top x amount of players make it to the final table (x is normally between 8 and 6 people) get 5 points extra and then top finish gets 20 points and 2nd gets 15.

Can anyone help with this?

Thanks in advance.

Help Me / Ranking graphs
« on: May 16, 2007, 02:42:07 AM »
Hi,

I'm not sure if this can be answered here but I thought I would give it a go. On my website I would like a section where players positions in tournaments are shown in a line graph. With the option of having up to 5 other players stats shown as well (sort of as there Nemesis etc). I would need this in PHP ideally does anyone have any idea of any software etc that will do this?

See sharkscope.com for an idea of what I am after.

Many thanks

Hi,

I am running a final table this weekend and I would like to have a poster with the final table attendees. I have seen one on here but for the life of me I cannot find it again.

Basically it has to be like the standard table that poker sites use if that makes sense with an area where I can put the names in. Clear as mud? though so

Thanks in advance.

General Discussion / Local Poker advertising
« on: December 14, 2006, 07:04:12 AM »
Hi,
   I have been using the tournament director software off and on for home games - I will be buying a commercial license in the new year when I get a decent laptop that works.

However my question is this - for advertising what do you find is the best method whilst keeping costs down?

Many thanks
