Help Me / Adding levels with 25 and 50 cent blinds
« on: February 25, 2017, 11:13:06 AM »
When I try to add levels at $0.25/$0.50 blind level, the software just rounds to $0/$0. I cannot find any preference either to update this, just curious as to how I would do this. I wouldn't think it couldn't be done.

Thanks.

I tried this. Unfortunately the work-around has not solved the issue for me as it is still extremely lagging when I type, and when I click the mouse button. The timer also takes 15-20 seconds to catch up.

I'm sorry Corey, I'm going to have to go with another piece of software, which is unfortunate, because I love this software. I feel bad, but I need a program that can run my charity events. :(

That's unfortunate.  I wish Microsoft would address this.  I did some more debugging this weekend to see if I could find a workaround.  It seems the degree to which this issue affects typing/mouse clicks isn't consistent.  At times I could type complete paragraphs with no issues.  Other times every other or every 3rd key press was missed.  No clue as to what made the difference.

I'm still working on it.  If I can figure out a workaround, I'll definitely release a patch to deal with it if possible.

We appreciate your assistance Corey. I know being a one man show, your time is valuable. I use this software for charity poker tournaments I run as well, and I take November and December off, but January through March is my busy time. I hope you find some sort of work-around by then.

I'm experiencing the problem as Benn. TD3 doesn't always register a key press. Very annoying. I also run Windows 10. Would it help to go back to another Windows version?

It might, but I don't know for sure and rolling back the operating system is asking a lot of someone so I can't possible officially recommend it.

I am having the same issues, so much so, that I had to go back to another piece of software because I couldn't even run my home game. I have a fully upgraded Windows 10 laptop.

Has this issue been resolved yet? I am having to buy a new laptop since my old one crashed this weekend (rather spectacularly I might add), and anything new I buy will come with Windows 10.

Help Me / Re: Tournament Level Length Longer than Programmed - See Pic...
« on: February 02, 2015, 12:56:38 AM »
I'm sure Corey will respond at some point, but I've been using this software for about 2 years, and I have a pretty good feel for it.

Few questions: Did you stop the clock for any reason during level 11? Every level is uniform from your tournament history TXT file is down the second in terms of when levels start and finish. This one started at 11:10:35 and ended at 11:36:46. That is 26 minutes and 11 seconds. I'm wondering if the clock accidentally got paused for 10 minutes (very easy to do, just need to hit the spacebar). The clock wouldn't simply add 11 minutes and 11 seconds to the timer. It had to been inadvertently paused. Your screenshot doesn't actually show this, it shows that level 11 should start at 2 hours 40 minutes into the game, with the break starting 2 hours 55 minutes into the game, with round 12 starting at 3 hours 5 minutes into the game. Your times you set up would be consistent with your levels there.

The tournament history is getting it's time (the real time) from your computer clock, so we know you were in that level an extra 11:11, but there is no way of knowing WHEN the timer actually got paused (I'm almost certain that's what happened). My guess is that it occurred when Bo Berdej was busted out at 11:23:17pm.

I can't see anything that would indicate a phantom level occurring after round 8, but round 9 was ended early by the user only 2 minutes after round 9 started. Looking at the actual time stamps on the entries below, nothing seems out of the ordinary other than the forced start of level 10. Round 9 started 3 seconds after round 8 (like it's supposed to do...there is always a small delay when switching). There is no time stamp discrepancy - wondering again if someone was not looking at the info or was interpreting it incorrectly and thought it said the game was on a break. I don't know, but I'm not sure there is enough there to definitively say that a phantom level occurred, which is not really supported by any of the real-time time stamps.

10:35:21 pm 01/30/2015: End of round 8
10:35:24 pm 01/30/2015: Start of round 9
10:36:44 pm 01/30/2015: Kyle Farrell busted out of the tournament
10:36:44 pm 01/30/2015: Joe Balada busted out of the tournament
10:37:11 pm 01/30/2015: Bob Tansey busted out of the tournament
10:37:47 pm 01/30/2015: User initiated next round
10:37:47 pm 01/30/2015: Start of round 10

What exactly did the tournament screen look like when you thought this phantom, extra break occurred? Did the tournament screen change to a different color (Red by default)?

Help Me / Re: Exporting Tournament Stats by Player
« on: January 31, 2015, 08:03:53 PM »
You're not missing anything.  It's actually been on my "to-do" list for some time.  I also have a "reports" feature on that same to-do list which I thought would make this feature obsolete, but it hasn't been done either.  I'll bump the priority and maybe I can finally get to it.

Thanks Corey, you're always great at responding on here and to emails. Appreciate your software, it is second to none.

Help Me / Exporting Tournament Stats by Player
« on: January 25, 2015, 10:11:04 PM »
Hello,

First, would like to say that I've been using this software for awhile now, and I really do love it. Our home game just completed it's second full season (first using this software) and now we're on to season 3. At the conclusion of each event, I export the tournament summary to Google Drive and make it accessible to all our players, along with the current standings. I of course refresh the stats on the Stats tab to do this and select the appropriate season to filter.

My question is this: when the stats are refreshed, double clicking on a name will bring up the player statistics screen for that player (screen shot attached to this message), a wealth of information about that player in relation to that season I selected....BUT....there is no way to export this page for a single player only (unlike many other pages where I can export or print (where I create PDFs)). I know that I could request all columns of data for all players at once and have one massive report, but some of our players like individualized stat reports.

Is there a way to do this that I'm just missing?

Thanks again, really do enjoy using this software.

Matt

Help Me / Re: Can you create multiple add-ons with different values?
« on: January 18, 2013, 09:10:05 PM »
Thank you very much for the feedback, that is very helpful. My next event is not until March 2 (unless another one pops up before then!), and I definitely want to have this in place when the baseball season hits and all those competitive teams start looking to do fundraisers. :)

Help Me / Can you create multiple add-ons with different values?
« on: January 18, 2013, 02:40:32 PM »
Hello,

I am a small business owner and I operate charity/fundraiser poker tournaments. I am not overly happy with my current software and am looking to make a change. One functionality that I really need is the ability to create add-ons for these events, but to be able to customize them. For example, my current software, I can create an add on, specify how much it is and its chip value; set the levels which it is available and all that good stuff, but that's it.

I routinely have customers who want to offer 2-3 add ons but they are different chip values. They want me to offer an add on of a 5000 chip to start, 10,000 in level 5, and 15,000 in level 8 (just an example). My software can multiple add-ons but they have to be the same value.

Can The Tournament Director create add-ons like I need?

Thanks.

Matt
