Help Me / running 2 tournaments at the same time
« on: November 11, 2010, 05:15:11 AM »
Hi,

is it possible in TD2 to run 2 tournaments at the same time? Why do I ask? Well, when we have a tournament for our league,
the first 10 players that are busted out, are given the chance to participate in a seperate sit & go in wich the first 3 players
also can earn some points.

Best regards,

Dave

Help Me / League-points problem
« on: November 11, 2010, 04:59:37 AM »
Hi,

we have about 500 players in our TD-database and we have allready played several tournaments this year. The tournaments we
have done where all freerolls, but since september we started with a league for members who have payed to be part of that league
and they are now playing for a league-pot. The problem I'm having now is that when there are players who allready played with us
without paying and decide after a couple of games that they are going to join our league, TD will give them the points they would
have scored in the tournaments they participated in when they weren't members of the league yet. So they should only get the
points from the moment they became members of the league. Is there a way to tell TD that those players points only count from
the time they became a member of that league? I hope you understand what I'm trying to say here.

Best regards,

Dave

One more question: do I put this formula in the "points for playing"-box or somewhere else so I can test it?

Help Me / Formula for league points
« on: September 21, 2010, 08:22:21 AM »
Hi,

for the league we are playing, I'm looking for a formula. Half of the number of players will finish in the points, the last one of these players in the points will get
10 points. The rest of the players we would like to give 10% more points then the previous one, so if we have 60 players, 30 of them will get points. 30th will
get 10 points, 29th -> 11 points, 28th -> 12 points, 27th -> 13 points, 26th -> 14 points, 25th -> 15 points, 24th -> 17 points, and so on.
The points needs to be rounded down when the points are ,5 or lower and up if they are ,6 or higher. I hope it makes a bit of sense wath I'm asking.
Can anyone give me the formula to do this?

Best regards,

Dave

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Re: DifferentImages for Odd/Even Rounds
« on: September 19, 2010, 12:52:37 AM »
Hi MauiAces,

I did this with one of my lay-outs. I created 2 screens, one for the even rounds and one for the odd rounds. I have set the display time to the length of
my rounds, I gave it 900 sec because my rounds are 15 min long. I also created a screen for the breaks and put it to use also. Every 3 rounds there is a small
break in my tournaments. then I created a new screenset, named it diff_backgrounds and putted the screens in as follows:

1. even rounds (900 sec)
2. odd rounds (900sec)
3. breaks (300sec)

There is probably a better, and faster way to do it btu I haven't figured that out yet. I hope this helps you a bit.

Best regards,

Dave

It is possible to put scrolling on the iframe, but I wonder if it is also possible to make it auto scroll like on the player rankingsscreen?
Or does this always happen auto if the list gets to long to fit the cell?

I don't know if this is important but I'm doing al of this in a new screen with a background and a new cell I named "stats".
I have attached a screenshot with what gets displayed.

This is the code in the HTML-section of the cell: <iframe src="<C:\Users\Dave\Documents\The Tournament Director 2\Data\saves\stats\league_17_09_2010.html>" frameborder=0 scrolling=no width=700 height=500></iframe>

I pasted my path into my browser and it gets displayed as it should. Strange it doesn't work in TD2.
Any suggestions?

Hey Corey,

I've been trying to do the same thing but there seems to be a problem with displaying the html-page.
The only thing I get displayed in my cell, is the same page you get when a browser cannot display a webpage:
"this webpage cannot be displayed", please check if your computer is connected to the internet.
I followed every step you said and can find nothing wrong with the code. What am I doing wrong?

Best regards,

Dave
