Templates, Layouts and Sounds / WPT Layout
« on: December 09, 2008, 09:21:23 AM »
Hi all,

I must first apologise for not having been around so much here lately. Due to various work and home commitments, I have been off the Poker scene for a while, but now with some new clays, a great piece of software and a newly installed Poker table, I'm hoping to get back into it, bigger and more enthusiastically than before!

Since we're planning on starting a new League, and using the TD to manage it, I would like to know if anyone should have any additional images of the clock that's used at the WPT. So far, I've only been able to find three views of the clock. I am looking to create something similar in TD (should be fairly straightforward, given the fact that most of the information looks as though it's stored in boxes and columns anyway), so any help in locating reference images for this purpose would certainly be welcomed. I will of course be sharing the file for download on here once I have been able to put it together. I am pretty certain that I should be able to put it together from the second picture, but of course more reference means we can get it as accurate as possible. I wonder if it would be possible for you guys to determine the fields and data that is shown on the clock?

Advanced thanks for any help you might be able to offer.

Best regards,

Ben

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Brushed Steel Template
« on: March 30, 2008, 04:46:34 PM »
Was having a bit of a play around on Photoshop earlier, and following on from my post about Javascript in tokens in the other Forum, here's the template I propose to create. I'd certainly welcome any thoughts or constructive criticism, be as harsh as you want / need :)

Thanks,
Ben

General Discussion / Do TD Tokens support Javascript?
« on: March 30, 2008, 04:09:54 PM »
Hi all, I don't know if anyone will be able to help, but I'm trying to make a template for TD which incorporates an analog clock. Since I know Javascript I was going to try and incorporate this into a token within TD, but I don't know whether or not the software allows <script> tags to be placed in the HTML snippet? I was also planning on making a visual countdown script, but again wondered whether TD supports this.

If anyone can help, I'd certainly be most willing to share the tokens and resulting template.

Thanks and keep up the great work,
Ben

General Discussion / NexGen Chips
« on: March 24, 2008, 06:11:08 PM »
I'm contemplating buying some more chips, to go with the new table I just bought. Due to the expense of the table, I can't really afford Paulsons right now (perhaps a couple of years down the line, when I have some more bankroll to play with!) I've heard from numerous players in the town where I live that the NexGen chips are a pretty good replacement, and a great deal less price wise.

I wonder whether or not anyone on here has tried out the NexGens, or perhaps could suggest a suitable, relatively low budget replacements for Paulsons? I am current;y using Dice Chips at the moment, and they have served me well, but my games are getting a little more professional now, with soem higher stakes, and I'd like to have some chips that aren't the same old!

Advanced thanks for any help on this!

Suggestions / Player Avatar
« on: March 24, 2008, 06:07:52 PM »
Hi All,
I have been using TD for quite some time now, for managing both my home games and some charity and family games. For smaller home games, I wonder whether it would be a nice touch to allow the host to add an avatar or small display picture to a player, that could be displayed on the seating chart. This could potentially be used when the player is eliminated from the game, for example a large cross appears in a modal window or overlay in the TD play window.
Not too sure how complicated this will be, but just thought for smaller games it might be an idea (since for larger Casinos and card rooms this could be a little unmanageable).
Thanks, and keep up the really great work Corey!

Help Me / Multiple Monitors
« on: March 13, 2008, 03:49:59 AM »
Hi all,

I'm sorry if this has already been asked on the forum, but I did try doing a search on the topic, and since my problem is a rather specific one (I think), I thought I'd post it up.

Basically, I have just purchased an LCD projector for my games room and I want to display the TD on there. I have been using TD for over a year now, and really cannot shout its praise enough. My question is, would it be possible to show the main clock screen on the projector, while still having the config and back-end screen open on my PC monitor? For example, is it possible to either mod the software so that the clock can be displayed in another instance of a window (which I could drag over to my LCD projector), or is it possible with TD as is?

I thought I should explain my set up in case that might help. Basically, I have used the Windows Dual View options to simply extend my display onto the projector. I had tried to use nVidia Multiple Monitor support, but that means using the same resolution on both monitors (and since the native of my monitor is 1280 * 960, and the projector is 1024 * 768), so it's not really ideal.

Any help really would be appreciated. Advanced thanks :)

Help Me / Different announcements based on Round Number
« on: October 26, 2007, 01:48:53 PM »
Hello all,

I am trying to add a different sound event for each blind level (i.e. to actually announce what the blinds are for that particular level). Here is the statement that I have for the conditions, and the trigger is set for "When a Level Begins":

(roundNum == 1).

For some reason when I run the test program it works correctly, but then when I try and test it in the actual software, the announcement is not made. Perhaps I am doing something wrong. Would appreciate any comments on this.

Help Me / TD Freezing!
« on: October 24, 2007, 04:53:55 PM »
Well, I was setting up my tournament at the weekend, by creating prizes, and when I hit F2 to go to the Game Screen, the TD just froze, and wouldn't let me close or perform any tasks. I had to kill the process, and the re-open TD. I tried creating a new Tournament, but the same problem was encountered. Any help on the matter would be most gratefully appreciated.

I suspect that the problem is caused as a result of a custom template I made (seeing as TD works fine with other templates). I have attached the TLO file in the hope that perhaps there is problem with this, as opposed to my installation of TD.

Once again, any help is most gratefully appreciated indeed.

Help Me / Modifying Announcements
« on: October 17, 2007, 11:45:47 AM »
Hello again, sorry for the 20 questions!

Is it possible to change the layout of the announcements (for example "The Clock is Paused"), or indeed to select which announcements one wants?

Thanks,
Ben

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Looking for Layout
« on: October 14, 2007, 11:57:36 AM »
Hi all,

I recently went to a Casino here in the UK, and was actually impressed by their clock interface. They don't allow cameras in the card room, so I tried to find a photograph of it on the internet, or better still find the actual software. I was able to find the following image, which is exactly the same as the clock they have:

I wonder if anyone can identify the software used, or perhaps I will have to make it up myself. The image above was taken from the PokerStars Blog.

Thanks,
Ben

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / PHP Template Converter
« on: October 07, 2007, 05:42:39 AM »
Hello all,

This is my first post on the forum, but firstly let me start by thanking the chaps behind TD for their excellent work and application. I have taken a special interest in the Layout Designer, and have read a couple of posts both on this forum, and others asking whether or not it is possible to import HTML Pages as Templates for the Layout. I personally love the idea of this, and was thinking about how it could be made possible.

I know PHP 5, and think that I should be able to code a converter that is able to convert any HTML page into a TD layout file. The question is, is this worth it, and does Corey want me to do this?

Let me know your thoughts, and I figure that this is a small repayment I can make for this great software and contribution to Poker Tournament Managers.

Thanks,
Ben

Help Me / Last Stable Version
« on: May 10, 2007, 06:03:38 PM »
I am having the same problem that some other members had with regard to getting TD 2.2.2 to start. I wondered whether it would be possible to make the last know good version of the software available to us unfortunate members that are unable to use the current version.

The reason that I ask is that I like the software and the features that it provides (or at least I think I do, from the screenshots etc. -  I have never actually tried it). I would like to try the program before I consider buying it, but obviously cannot do this with the current version. I really would appreciate it if the last know good working version's install file could be posted for us.

Many thanks in advance, and great software,
Ben
