Thanks

I am using Teamviewer via iPad, implemented it on my last tournament and worked like a charm.

Attached you will find the loop of that specific part. Have it cleaned up pretty good, but not professionaly (yet). So let me know if this is what you were looking for, or if you need anything else done with it.

Regards,
Cæles

PS. You don't happen to have any more suggestions on great sounds for specific events?

When googling it it comes up with a lot of youtubes videos, or do you want the sentence in a nice sweet audio-file?

If so, tell me and I'll get it done for you :)

Help Me / Re: Bounty Hunter
« on: March 23, 2012, 06:01:41 AM »
I was playing with the same kind of tourney-version: a fullstack rebuy (+bounty chip) for any who got knocked out a 2000chips-tourney, and a half-stack add-on for any who got below 1000chips (without another bounty)..

What's proposed by Corey seems a great alternative, I was just wondering whether or not the following change in settings might make it even easier?

Is it possible (and ofcourse easy) to give a max cap on rebuys & add-ons. In other words, a setting where it is stated that the maximum of rebuy OR add-on is (for instance) 1. So, in that case, if someone has done a rebuy, the software automatically makes him/her ineligible for a add-on. It would make the play faster, since tourney directors won't need to change settings on the fly.

General Discussion / Re: Different Screen on Different Displays?
« on: February 27, 2012, 04:20:54 PM »
This different screen / different displays makes me think of another program I use for my VJ-gigs (Arkaos GrandVJ). Same kindof setup: one screen needed to change what you see on the other screen(s). In here you have the option to put one screen (i.e. 1024x768), across two displays. So it gets stretched, but still looks like normal.

Here, check the youtube-video if interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1o1OSOHIWPE&feature=results_video&playnext=1&list=PL482537946953937F (especially have a look at second part (42secs and onwards, where he makes his videos half the size (one on the left/one on the right) but still comes out at full size on the projectors)
Trial version can be downloaded here to have a look a the configurations: http://www.arkaos.net/product/index.php?catid=1&pid=1001&iid=42

So, maybe this will give you the inspiration on tackling the aforementioned obstacle.

Help Me / Re: Im trying to run a Doubles tournament.

I agree, though a work-around for CigarDan could be:

Make a formula where the team that 'should have been #2, but got #3' gets the points for #2, and soforth. It is a workaround, but TD isn't built for the strange variations we come up with in tournament-play ;)

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Re: Information cell

Hey Mahound,

I have might have stumbled on the same difficulty with my layout (to be found here: http://www.thetournamentdirector.net/forums/index.php?topic=3331.0).

Corey told me to do the following, it might also work for you:
Code: [Select]
In those two cells, move the "Breaks" Property Set to the first spot in the list.  Also, in the Conditions, you've got "Break number:" selected, but no operator.  Select the "=" operator.  The software will fill in the value automatically once you close the dialog (it should be "any").
So it could be that you haven't put the condition-set, called 'break', in the top of your list. He hasn't explained it in my topic, but I gather it has something to do with an inner hierarchy, where condition-set#1 goes first. If none of the conditions match it will move to #2 and so forth.

Hopefully this is the answer to your problems!

Haha, I can relate to that. Still pondering myself if I will upgrade this one to HD-reso..

However, come to think of it, it should be fairly easy. The only things that would need a change are the width and height-elements in the table. Besides that you might want to change font-size. But I can't think of other things that would need to be changed.

Let me know how it works out for you, if you'll undertake the dabble :-)

Help Me / Re: Help with formatiing & fitting cells

Still freeform is kind-of possible. It's what I did with my layout.

I have created a big table, solely using HTML-elements, placing everything on their spots. The big downside is: not nearly as easy in customizing, the big upside is: if you put the time into it you can do virtually everything.

Here take a look if you haven't seen it yet:

Eureka once more!

Thanks, Corey!

I will update first post with the new *.tlo.

Thanks! Let me know when it is fixed so i can share the source-files.

'Break' is inserted into the cell itself, for the Headsup-screen as well as for the Main-screen. In other words: in the 'complete'-cell and 'headsup_complete'-cell I have added two more property-sets. One for the even rounds, and one for the breaks. This is what I have done, based on your default-profile, for my previous profile I used for that home poker tourney I told you about. There it worked like a charm, here I can't get it working..

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Eureka! - My first fully customized layout
« on: February 05, 2012, 04:28:30 PM »
Hey everyone,

Just been a user of TD for little more than two weeks, but I am hooked. I just love it. Therefor, in order to share my wealth with the rest of you I hereby give you my main-screen-layout i have built from scratch.

As you will notice, if you are going using it yourself, it is completely built within tables. So here is a quick walkthrough:
  • The first row (is the first <tr> till the first </tr>) is the row where all widths are carefully selected. This layout has been made for a 1366 / 768 - resolution. If you are changing the numbers in there, you will change the layout.
  • If you want to quickly change a cell, but not sure which one.. All you need to do is change border="0" to "1". All cells which have content is now visible
  • The overall fontsize is only used for the chips-denomination, all other sizes are regulated by the style-attributes added to the cell.
  • The layout is logo-ed. If you want to add your own logo's: try to do it in Photoshop, since adding it as an image within TD will give you lots of headaches :)
  • Final thing: the screen has a preference for a 5-chip set, I can't get a 4-chip set aligned yet.

Also, undoubtedly there are a lot of easier ways to have done this, but I couldn't think of any so I went for it this way :)

If there is something wrong, let me know. Though it will be hard to fix it, since now already i am not understanding it half the time ;)..

Let me know what you think,

Regards,
Bobby

Edit: can't seem to add the 10mb PSD-file, sorry for that.. Less customizations possible for you guys :S

Edit2: New backgrounds for the different rounds (uneven, even and breaks) with an extra card to make it prettier.

Edit3: Another batch of new backgrounds also with a new layout-attachment.

Edit4: Problem with breakscreen fixed
