General Discussion / Re: Chip Count

you could also put a microchip on the chip and track it that way... this is not so far fetched, here is a link where buddy chipped all his playing cards so he knew where the cards went click here

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Re: Looking for sound files
« on: November 02, 2009, 06:25:00 AM »
hi, I found a new place to search for sounds... SoundBoard

For example, here is what they have for Rounders sound clips: Click here

so the soundboard is on the right hand side of page, but in the middle of the page you have a bunch of options on downloading... it took me a few minutes to see it so thought I'd point it out

I also kinda found the heart beating flatline sound, but you might have to take two files and splice them togather to get the sound you are looking for

and I doubt its an exact count... mind you, I'm sure there are software programs that can calculate size of chip stacks to give a pretty accurate chip count, and I'm pretty sure experienced dealers can calculate chips at a glance according to chip stack size (example: player 1 always stacks his chips in stacks of 10, and he has 3 full stacks and one half stack of green means 35 green chips)

I get the white background when trying to display that background too... I have a 22" widescreen monitor and I'm hooked up to my TV... display resolutions are: Monitor 1680 by 1050 and tv 1024 by 768...

When the TD is set for my monitor, the picture is somewhat too small and I get a white background around it but I can still see the background... When I put it to my tv, all  I got was white background... I resized the pic to fit tv and everything worked

My windows settings only go 1280X960 or 1024X768.... I checked a laptop with vista and it wouldn't go exactly 1280X768 either... anyway, I would assume that if the graphic is too big it won't display it... so you could crop the picture a bit smaller and see if that works

Hi, I've been playing around with the BPC layout myself and I get the same thing as you... all the layout works, but just a white screen, no background picture... The problem is the resolution... you have to make sure that the background picture is the same "size" as your screen size... I'm unsure of how adept you are at resizing pictures, but if you tell me your resolution size I can crop it up so it will work... this is how I got mine to work

To find resolution screen size, right click anywhere on your desktop and choose "Properties"... Click on the last tab labeled "Settings"... Midway through the window on the left side is your Screen resolution box with a sliding scale Less <---> More and below that it will say some number by another number pixels... those are the two numbers that you need... then you resize your layout background to that setting (or you can just slide your screen resolution to match the layout background, whatever it is)... Like I said, if you tell me your resolution, I'll crop the pic you are using and send it back to you, if you are unsure of how to crop pics... its possible to do it with MS Paint, but I found it a bit harder than running it through Paint Shop Pro...

And if you are like me and have two screens or monitors then its important to get the resolution of the monitor that you are displaying the TD game screen on... My computer monitor and the actual TV that I display TD on are two different resolution... I don't know if this applies to you Jolly, but thought I'd mention it

Help Me / Re: 10 Week Tourney points (input welcome)
« on: May 04, 2009, 09:18:41 PM »
I personally like the idea of points fluctuating depending on how many people play... the more people you take out in a tourny the more points you get... that way if you have 23 people at one week, first place should make more points then 1st place in the week that only 16 people showed, because they battled their way through a larger playing field

this is done by the n - r +1 formula or the square root formula... but thats just my personal opinion  ;)

Help Me / Re: Tournaments
« on: April 24, 2009, 06:29:45 AM »
you have to make sure that every tournament that you want for that league has the right league and season labeled on the first Game tab
Then you have to make sure that you filter out everything but that league and season on the Stat tab

if you click on the info button in the Stab tab you can see what tournament were loaded  and fix appropriately

General Discussion / Re: PENALTY FOR RE BUYS
« on: March 19, 2009, 06:43:40 PM »
I can see why you would want to penalize rebuys and add ons but I don't always think that you should... if you advertise an unlimited in first hour rebuy tournament than you shouldn't discourage rebuys... let the rebuys come.... Rebuy tournaments are very wild and unpredictable, and utilizes strategies otherwise not employed in regular games... Also it fattens up the pot, and how can that be a bad thing???
