Hi all,

  so i had something strange happen with the formula I was using.  I ran a tournament and logged everyone out and double checked the points and they looked good so I uploaded them to my site.  

The points can be seen here for this tournament

Then I went to run a second tournament using the same formula and the results are totally different including a bunch of negative numbers.  Furthermore, when I reopened the saved file of the first tournament and looked at the points they had changed? So something must have happened to the formula but I can't figure out whats wrong?

here is the formula I am using:

10 * (ROUND(LOG(( players +5)/ rank ,10)*100,0)/10)

I am really trying to find something like Dr. Nearu's formula but without taking into account rebuys, add-ons, or buy-ins (becuase they are free tournaments)

General Discussion / Awesome Online Poker Client for Website Integration

I thought I would let you guys who have websites and large leagues about this new poker client you can integrate into your site for free.  It basically gives you a multi-table poker client that you can brand with your own logo's.  Once integrated into your site your players can login and play for free with players of all the other sites that have integrated it.

If a player runs out of chips they have to wait 24 hours before they can refresh there initial 1000.00 or they can purchase "chip packs". Any chip pack purchase is split with the website operator and with Cuebia poker, the client owners.

It is still in beta testing so the critical mass of players isn't there yet....

Help Me / Hockey Stick Points Equation?

Hey everyone,

    Maybe you all can help me with my points equation.  What I am looking for is a "Hockey Stick" progression with the points where it is linear for the first 60% of the field and  the last 40% get an exponential increase (although not a huge difference).  something like

for a tournament of 10 players

10th : 10
9th   : 20
8th   : 30
7th   : 40
6th   : 60
5th   : 90
4th   : 130
3rd   : 180
2nd   : 250
1st    : 350

Hitman points: 5 points per knockout

Doesn't have to be exactly like that but something similar.  Also what are your thoughts on this sort of points structure? and if you have any ideas on what might work better feel free to share.

So I just designed my layout in layout mode and everything looked great but then when i loaded a tournament and clicked out of layout mode a new status message at the top saying "Next round: No-Limit Texas Holdem" appeared and its screwing up the layout.  Anyone know how to turn that off?

Woohoo!!!

They just updated the plugin and the problem is fixed. 

Players are now getting uploaded properly!

In the prizes tab under points I see 0's for all of their points? Am I looking in the wrong section?

Why don't you take the tournament file that I posted above which Corey couldn't find anything wrong with and see if you can get it to upload through your TPL Wordpress plugin.  If it works for you then there must be something wrong with the plugin on my end.  

I have been working on this all week. Getting frustrating becuase there is very little documentation or help forums for the plugin.  I just want to get the damn thing working...

Yes I know that....that is what I did...using the "Poker leaderboard export tab in The tournament Director and it generated an xml file which I uploaded and it does not work fine

Also, Although this is unrelated to this topic, I had initially downloaded the beta-version and then un-installed it and installed the most recent stable version and now for some reason the layouts wont load? I get an error box that says the default template could not load and so it's just blank. If I try and load one of the provided templates it gives me another error.
