Still confused ???
I attempted to use a blank cell on two different screens and insert different images on each screen.  When I insert an image in the blank cell of the first screen, the second screen inherits the blank cell properties from the first and vice versa as if the blank cell is a global property.  I'm not sure how to make this work.  Should I create a new Global Property set?

I'm also confused why there is an option for new tokens in the "Layout Tokens" Controls if you can't create your own tokens.

Thanks again.

My objective is to put a static image in a cell that I may easily change, for example, the picture of last week's winner on a background.   This is similar to the "Chips" token.  If the pictures were all the same dimension, it would be easy enough but I can't find a way to size the pic as it's done with the chips token. The result is that the image ends up covering the words and other images in the background.  I'm obviously not good with html.

I have tried creating an HTML token, saving an image as an html file with IE9, then placing that token in the contents of a blank cell within a column.  I must manually type my created token name into the contents section since the token I created will not be listed when using the "Insert token" button.  The result is a blue bar across the screen with a red X where I assume it is attempting to render the image.  I tried <mytoken height="768" width="1024"> with the same result.

My only workaround has been to resize the photos with an image editor.

It's obviously a little bit of fluff but it would be nice to work this out.

Thanks for any help!

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Re: Saving Layouts
« on: May 17, 2012, 08:53:58 AM »
FYI,  right after the last major update I thought I found a bug.  I thought the program was not saving the events and sounds templates with the tournament after I made changes in those templates.  It was driving me nuts until I finally realized I was saving in the "Saves" folder and not the default location.  I just posted this in hopes of others avoiding my boneheaded frustration.

Photshop CS ver 8 but it's very time-consuming to learn.  Once learned though , it's fun.

I'm attaching our layout to show what it is capable of doing.

Help Me / Re: Entries field not excludes new players

Thanks, Corey.  Of course, I was doing something wrong!  Now I know why some of players are highlighted in red on the table screen.  I was going to look into that.

BTW, kudos again for such a comprehensive program!

Suggestions / Re: suggested new option in layout.

1020  X 740 pixel resolution works just fine for me using the S-video connection to an Optoma projector TV.  The TV is in the standard definition 4:3 (1.33:1) aspect ratio. It also works on the laptop without an S-vid connection.

It would be nice to hear from people using the Hi-Def aspect ratio, 16:9 (1.78:1).  I would test it myself but my 4 year old $1,700 Hi-Def Sony Vega just quit.  Grrrrrr.  On the other hand, I have reason to get a big flat panel.  Yipeee!

Help Me / Entries field not excludes new players
« on: June 25, 2008, 09:57:03 AM »
I have included the "Entries" field in the tournament layout.  I noticed the count does not include new players.  That is a problem for us because it gives the establishment the illusion of fewer players.  It's a pride thing too because we are in heated competition with other poker leagues.

Am I doing something wrong?  I removed it for the time being but everyone liked it.

Help Me / Separate timer
« on: September 25, 2007, 03:05:43 PM »
Can anyone recommend a separate timer (software)?  We run a turbo consolation game simultanously and I would like to have a countdown clock displayed for the "losers lounge".  I tried loading TD twice but no cigars.

I hook my laptop up with an S-video cable.  Most TV's and laptops have S-video connections these days.  For sound we hook up the laptop to a portable PA that we already use for announcements.

Help Me / Multiple games?

I have a friend that is directing a tournament of spoiled athletes.  They must be able to come in and play as tables fill up and they play only against their own table.  Can the software have 10 instances of Tournament Director running?

Every non-programmer thinks their request is easy but here it is anyway.  I would like to see an option to have the players name and/or nickname on the seating chart.  The option part probably puts this beyond easy and simple so I would prefer to see both name and nickname if there is no option.  The reason being is that my tournaments are open and I have players sign-in as "F-Bomb", "Bad Beat", etc. and I would like to let the players know the real names that go with the nickname.  I get many more repeat players when they start to know each other and the nicknames stimulate the conversation only when they know that person's real name.

FYI - I use a large screen TV and start with the list format on the seating chart.  I switch to the table format when it appears most of the players know which table is theirs.  I tried to use a fancy text format but had to switch back to the Arial font so the players could read it on the TV.  They still struggle with the list format beacuse the Table and Seat number ar so far to the right of thier name so here is another request.  Could the ......'s on the list formatted seating chart be replaced with an alternating bar style or the space between the name and seat assignment be drastically reduced.

One last thing - Can anyone recommend a site for HTML text formatting?  I want to enlarge the footer on the seating chart.

Great job, Corey!  Thanks!
