Beta Testing / Re: 3.4 beta 1

Will do... Uploading to box.com since it's 245 MB, and will send the link to you when complete.  In the meantime, I'll try another backup, and see if that one restores or not.

Link sent.

I don't think anything was changed about the backup/restore feature.  I'm interested to see what's in the backup.  Send it to me if you can: support@thetournamentdirector.net

So I guess the appropriate response is, if it doesn't fit, try another size.  If there are other issue(s) with that, please let me know.

Fair enough!  I had the resolution set to 720p in order to make the settings window (displayed on a TV) more readable from 10 feet away... didn't occur to me to change the layout & resolution back to 1080p before increasing the font size.  (duh)  Thanks Corey, and I really do like the new window font size settings...

Backup & Restore: Did a backup on one system using the beta, tried to restore on another (VM) using the beta, received this error:

<more log available if needed>
inflating: prefs.sav

There was an error restoring the archive.

As an extra bit of information, it took a LOT (3x) longer to perform the backup than ever before.

I just ran into an issue... at 1280x720 resolution, settings window font size anything larger than "Extra Large" (2x, 3x, ...) makes bust out & New Player screens too large for the screen, and can't resize/move to be readable.  May be others, but those are the ones I encountered.  Set font size to Extra Large, and everything is readable.  Make sense?

Has anyone had any (recent) success using WINE?

How would I change this to only show those that finish with winnings >$0?   We use bounty chips that have a prize associated with it, so the marquee could end up reading "1st John Doe: $100 • 2nd Jane Doe: $50 • 3rd Johnny Moe: $25 • 7th Mary Moe: $5 • 9th Penelope Penny: $5", showing only those players that won any money.

That certainly would be useful to me as well!

Help Me / Scrolling Stats?
« on: March 06, 2015, 05:39:11 PM »
I'm able to create a cell called "rankings", and am familiar enough to use <marquee> to create scrolling text.  However, I have to enter the scrolling rankings text manually.  Is there a way (perhaps stats token?) using Stats->Refresh Stats before a tournament to populate this scrolling text with the current rank of players, including points & position?  I tried using the <stats> token, to no avail...

Okay, thanks. I hope you will have time for it to the next release then :)

I second that!

Thought about that but I'm afraid there would be some people that would not like it to show how much $ they are a loser, I may do a top 10 page that show the top players???

True, I guess it depends on your crowd.  My guys all like to see how much they've lost, and laugh about it with each other!  Top 10 in terms of total take makes sense, but perhaps just total winnings, since you aren't showing losses that way... just a thought.

That is awesome!  I think that if you could view the compiled states (total winnings, total take, etc) when you click through to a player's stats, that would be of interest as well.  Very, very cool!
