making an image fit for the background
« on: August 13, 2006, 12:45:19 AM »
got a pic of my table, and chip arrangements, but when i route TD2.1 to it, the image is tiled. It is centered, but then the edges of it repeat to the left, top and bottom, and right (as though there were multiple coies of the same photo, all lined up next to one-another)

how do i adjust it so there is one copy only and if FILLS the background.
I am on a 17" dell notebook, with 1920x1200 resolution running windows xp

I am a mac guy at heart

i know how to change the computer's background from tiled to stretch, etc (under display (from the control panel))
how do i do it in TD though?
thanx,
doc

You can't.  This is a limitation of background images displayed in Internet Explorer.

You can specify whether or not you want the image tiled horizontally, vertically, or both (or neither) on the same dialog that you set the path to the image that is used.  But you cannot change the size of the image.

If you know the size you want it to be, I'd suggest modifying the image itself, using a program like Photoshop, LView, or the Gimp.  Or even Windows Paint, although that will be more difficult and probably won't turn out as good.
