Help Me / Increasing Rebuy Amounts
« on: June 03, 2007, 10:36:16 PM »
Hello,

I run a tournament where we offer unlimited rebuys in the first 1.5 hours.  However, each rebuy costs $10 extra.  For example, the buy-in is $10.  The first rebuy is $10.  The second rebuy is $20 and the third rebuy is $30.

I'm pretty sure that the software does not support this, but I was wondering what would be the best way to deal with this in the software to keep the total prize money accurate?

Thanks for the suggestion for #1, that has fixed my problem.

As for #2, I'm a software engineer, so I understand.

We have a rule that the person closest the dealer gets the hit - same as the split pot rule.  Easier than counting chip stacks.

Thanks guys.

Suggestions / New Tournament Director Features

Hi All,

I've been using Tournament Director for 4 months for my 3 table tournaments.  Works great.

I had a few suggestions that I hope haven't already been mentioned:

1.  When busting a player out, there doesn't appear to be a way to mark more than one person for the hit.  We often have split pots (2 or more people) eliminating a single player but we cannot mark it as such

2.  We have a rule close to the end of rebuy period that a player can rebuy if they have less than a certain amount of chips.  The only way I can do this in the software is to bust the player out and then rebuy them in.  Would be good to support this without needing to bust the player out.

Thanks,
Paul
