Help Me / Re: 50 man tournament
« on: February 18, 2010, 09:33:27 PM »
The WSOP in the past has done 25/25 blinds, and I've done it in my tourneys.  Seems to work for us.

I would guess that "number of players felted * 10" = 10 points per hit.

That makes the formula (n - r + 1 + nh) * 10

Maybe the last part is a penalty of 1/4 of your points if you rebuy (or per rebuy if you allow multiple)?  I don't think that's possible.  Maybe just penalize 10 or more points per rebuy instead?

"log10" stands for logarithm base 10.  It's a math function.  See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logarithim and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_logarithm.

Same for me.

I was going to report the same bug but found someone already had.  Has there been any progress in fixing it?

General Discussion / Re: All In raise
« on: November 08, 2008, 07:41:49 PM »
The above isn't quite true.  In the above scenario, player A & B can re-raise, because player C's raise was at least 50% of the previous raise (in this case it was exactly 50%).

See http://www.lasvegasvegas.com/poker/chapter13-14.php#14

I followed your link and it contradicts what you stated :

3. All raises must be equal to or greater than the size of the previous bet or raise on that betting round, except for an all-in wager. Example: Player A bets 100 and player B raises to 200. Player C wishing to raise must raise at least 100 more, making the total bet at least 3. A player who has already checked or called may not subsequently raise an all-in bet that is less than the full size of the last bet or raise. (The half-the-size rule for reopening the betting is for limit poker only.)

I missed that last part initially.  It does look like that you are right and I am wrong.

See: http://www.thehendonmob.com/tournament_director3/can_i_raise and  http://www.thehendonmob.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=151905#151905 for a discussion on various scenarios.

So, following on the example:

Player A bets $20
Player B bets $20
Player C raises to $X all-in

If X is between $20.01 and $39.99 inclusive, then A and B can not re-raise.

General Discussion / Re: Heads up button
« on: July 12, 2008, 11:10:41 AM »
Just to clarify in heads up the button is the small blind right? And acts first before the flop then the the Big Blind acts first for the remaining 2 streets.

I have searched the net and that seams to be the consensus but this website claims the opposite

http://www.holdemreview.com/texas-holdem-heads-up-rules/

This has been an on going issuse where I'm the TD for a Pub game.

Thanks guys

There would be 3 remaining streets, but otherwise you are correct.

turn, river  ??????????????????????? whats the other, ::)

 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Button acts first pre-flop.  Button acts last on the flop, turn, and river.  I do believe that adds up to 3!

Yes, there is.

Go to the rounds tab.  Right click on the break(s) that you want to modify.  Choose Edit Break #.  Click on Tokens.  Create a token called breaktext and put whatever you want it to say there.

Yes, that counts as a hit.
