Title: Assigning tournaments to a season
Post by: jallred350 on October 25, 2009, 11:08:38 AM
Sorry if this is a really dumb question, but I can't figure it out.

I bought the software and got it up and going for my league's first tournament.  After the tournament I created the season for the league.  How do I assign the played tournament to this season?  I guess I have the same question for assigning it to the league as well.

Thanks in advance,
Jake

Sorry.  I'm an idiot.  I found it as soon as I posted this.

Great software by the way.  Makes things so much easier on me.

i am having the same trouble, but i haven"t figured it out yet.
i want to have a league, and keep track of the games we played. we play about 3 short games on saturday nights pretty regularly. so i wanted to have the date as the season with 1st 2nd and 3rd games listed after the date to signify the particular game for that date.
is there a way to have the league title, then have the season drop down menu list all the games we play? when i try this it keeps saving over the previous season game.
thanks for any help the members here can offer.....

League and Season are set for a tournament on the Game tab.

Remember that you can filter tournaments (for Stats) by date as well as league and season, so you don't necessarily need to create a season for each week.  Of course, everyone does things their own way so you want to do it that way.

Having said that, I'm not sure I'm following what you want to do.

how can i play 3 tourneys, one right after the other, and still save the data of each tourney with out over writing the previous one? i have tried this with the seasons drop down tab, but it saves over the previous tourney only changing the "season"  title.

You should always save each tournament as a unique file.

If you are re-using the previous tournament to run the next tournament, press "Save As..." and give the file a new name when you restart the tournament.
