Help Me / Chop a saved tournament?

Hi -

I read the section in the help regarding chops, but I am not how to chop a saved tournament.  The tournament was last week and I saved it with me taking 1st and my buddy taking 2nd but in reality we agreed to chop it 50/50 due to time.

Is there a way to do this so our stats aren't skewed?

Help Me / New tournament - not part of league

Hi -

We have about 60 people in our league as we run 1 tourney a month.  I don't want to mess up the point system since there are prizes involved but a few of us like to play single table, single buyin tournaments separate from the multi table rebuy tournaments.

We are having a 7 man "pick up" game tonight and wanted to use TD for the blinds and time etc...  Can I separate this game from the league?  Do I have to create different user names for the pickup games?

Help Me / deleted player

Hi -

I held a tourney a few weeks ago and I have not posted the results due to a major screw up....  During the tournament a player was busted out in TD but he never did bust out.  In fact, he came in 2nd.  According to TD, he was busting out during the 5th round of blinds.  The person in my saved tournament who came in 2nd should be in 3rd and the person in 3rd should be in 4th and so on.....

Is there a way to fix this at all?  Like I said, I haven't posted the results to StatsGenie due to this.

Help Me / Moving TD 2.2

Hi-

I am a licensed user of 2.2 and I have installed on my laptop.  It's a leased machine and it is going back shortly.  I would like to be able to move the database and license to my new computer when it arrives, providing that it is legal to do so.

Is there any documentation on moving the database and/or license?

Help Me / Bounty question

I think I understand how the bounty dialog box works but I needed some clarification on something.  We are starting to use bounties in our monthly tourney and everyone will get one bounty chip when they buy in.  Our normal $30 buyin will now be $35 with $5 going to the bounty pot.  We are a re-buy tournament but I only want to give the bounty chips during the original buyin.  We allow rebuys through level 3.  If a player busts out during the rebuy period and they choose to buy back in, they should not loose their bounty chip to the hitman.  I only want the bounty chips to go to the hitmen when the player is permanently out.

Is this possible with how the bounty dialog box works?

Help Me / Player Name & Nickname function

I am sure I am doing something wrong but I hope someone can help. 

I was happy to find out that the Nickname field is no longer required so I went in the database and removed them.  Probably a stupid move... After that, I opened an older tourney and most of the names were no longer associated so I figured they just needed to be merged.

I noticed something very weird.  When I created a new tourney and went to add players, the dialog box only lists "Name" and in that field is the 1st name of the player.  When I go into the database and open a player's properties there is no such field called "Name".   I have FirstName and LastName.  Even when I create a new player there is no "Name" field.

The problem that I have with merging is I have a bunch of guys named Bill, Mike & Dave.  I cannot tell who to merge them to.

Any assistance would be helpful

Help Me / 2.2 Question

I had a problem with 2.1.2 with the HTML error that a lot of people were having after a certain Windows Update.  In order for me to get last Saturday's tournament running, I downloaded 2.2 Beta 3 and ran the tournament with no problems

Now comes the problem.  I tried to load my saved file from last Saturday into my 2.1.2 program and it would not load.  Before I download 2.2 and install over 2.1.2 I was concerned that I cannot recover the saved stats from last Sat.

Any assistance would be great

Help Me / League setting problem

Hi -

I just ran into a problem regarding my league setup.  I have about 40 people in a league that we have been running since January.  I recently upgraded to  2.1.2 and notice something funny.  When I create a new user from the database tab and I choose the league at the top and then enter the player information then click OK.  When I look at the user after he was created, he is not assigned to a league and I have to manually add him.  Has anyone else seen this?

Also, I don't know what happened, but when I started setting up the TD for my tourny tomorrow, I noticed that all my players have been removed from my league.  I don't think I did anything but I am really freaking out.  Are their stats gone?  Can I bulk select players and put them back in the league?

Sorry for the many questions but I think I am in panic mode....

Help Me / Help with automatic seating

Hi -

I was hoping someone may be able to help me with what I am trying to do.  I have a monthly multiple table tournament and up until now I always had the players pick their seat assignment from a hat.  I had designated facilitators which always took seat 1 at each table and they did not move so I was excited to see the Locked Player option.  We have 3 large 96'' holdem tables so keeping the facilitator in the middle of the action helps greatly.

I want to change our buy in process so I can take advantge of the randomized seating.  Here was my thoughts on what I am trying to do.  At buyin time, we form a line at the TD and everyone buys in, get their chips and the seat so I am trying to randomly assign a single seat, one seat at a time.  The problem is when I choose Seat Players, it puts everyone at table 1.   I am trying to dispurse the players across all the tables.  The other problem is that even with locking the facilitators in place, they are included in the seat movement.

The other problem is since I am trying to generate a random seat one by one, by the time we get to the 3rd or 4th person and I do another seat assignment it moves the people I just gave seats to.  I got this idea from Bally's who I frequent for their weekday tournaments.  You walk in an hour or so early, you register and they give you your seat then.  The are running TD so I hope they are paying appropriatley

Last question, is there an easy way to change the font color in the layout?  I search the help but I can't figure it out
