Title: Points
Post by: Mahound on October 27, 2010, 07:26:37 AM
If you are running different leagues, different games.  The points structures that you use may need to be different. As you already have some place to save images, templates etc.

Why not set up a way to  save the current point systems  from within the points for playing section into a dedicated save folder.

Well, why couldn't you set up folders for the separate leagues? That's how I handled it when I was running two different games. Now that I run only one, I don't find it as necessary to have different saves, but I do save prior seasons in their own folders, and have the tournaments saved with the league and season settings that they belong to.

I have had something on the to-do list for some time to be able to save formulas.  I haven't explored it too far, but the idea would be to have a "Library" button or something like that on the Points for Playing dialog.  Pressing that would open up a dialog that allowed you give your formula a name and save it, or retrieve one from the library.  All saved as part of your preferences.

In the end it's a matter of priorities.  No one has ever requested a feature like this.  And there are a million other things that have been requested.  It's low on the list, so I've never done anything with it.

Although I don't have a need right now for it, having something like that would be nice. It would prevent me from having two save mulitple default tourneys with the settings for each league in the future.
