Table template (PSD file)
« on: July 06, 2009, 05:37:49 AM »
Photoshop template to customise table pics if anyone is interested.
You can change the table color, add remove racetrack, change shadows, put your own logo in etc.
Included a few examples and a possible xml file you can use.
Just put the gif in the images folder and the xml into the templates folder.
Tweak the 3rd line of the xml to direct to your new picture.
In TD go to seating options and click edit table image - browse to your modified xml.

Very nice job with these files; Great job!

I've done something like this for my own needs, but I wasn't certain there would be any interest in it.  I guess perhaps I was wrong.

Again, great job!

I can't make it work :(

Hally,
Thanks so much for doing this.  I took your psd file and enlarged it to the 770 * 350 pixels, after adding some of my own touch-ups.  I used your recent xml file for the large 10 person table and then made the changes to the seating options as you suggested.  Everything works great except for one issue:

It seems to render the table image in the centre of the screen with no names, then after a split second it then renders a second table overlapping the first one above it towards the top.  I tried this on a bigger screen and it was still doing it, except on the bigger screen it was overlapping further apart.

Do you have any idea what this might be?   ...anyone?

By the way, how did you make that xml file, just curious?

I have attached the gif and the xml files that I am using.

That is odd.  I tried your blueprint and it works great for me.  What version of the TD and what version of IE are you using?

Thanks Corey for responding- Great software, anyway.... have a tournament coming up this Saturday, so I hope we can figure this thing out before.

I have attached a screen shot from my desktop, but I actually use a laptop because I use a touch screen monitor in the center of the table, but it happens on both computers (same version of software) which is strange, only on the laptop the two overlap each other half way as it is a smaller screen resolution I guess.

I included in the screen shot showing part of what the table is showing and my settings window.  Maybe there is something I am missing.
I am running version 2.5.10

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi Q-Prof,

My pleasure, but sorry - not sure what is going on there... bit of a mystery ???
The XML was just a 'tweaked' version of the one Corey provided in the software.
I just used some trial and error with the values to get it the way i liked it.

Q-Prof: sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.  I recently moved and it's been difficult to provide timely responses.

Your screen shot is a bit small so it is hard to see clearly, but it appears that you're using the table blueprint AND you have the background image set to the blueprint's image.  So, you've got a table image set as the screen background, and since you are using a table blueprint the software is placing table images on top of the background image.  Get rid of the background image and see if the problem clears up.

Corey,

All is good, you were right.  I removed the background image and now it looks like it will work perfect.
Doing this for the first time I thought that because it was a field that need to be filled in, it made sense to put it in there.

Now it all makes sense, because the xml file already is addressing the image from within the programming code and doesn't need a second background image.
I like the fact that this program allows for customization.  A little work and support and the program looks great.
If you are interested in the table build, which includes a touch screen monitor, flush-mount shuffler, plus some other goodies you can check out my pics here:

Thanks Hally for going to the trouble of modifying the xml file to work with the larger table image.

Bottom line, it looks great, names nicely placed in relation to the cup holders
